49,490 lumens. If I had a light that was 510 lumens, I would have thrown it in the box.

You're the only person I know Skygear, that would call 50,000 lumens "area lighting" hahaha

When I terminate lugs on wire, I like to use Raychem heat shrink tubing. That's on top of the crimping and soldering the connection after crimping the ends.

Overkill to some, but it's what I am used to doing to protect against the elements.

I owned a car audio shop when I was younger. We catered to the marine, and big rig markets also. We learned in a hurry the results of good and bad connections. My years of electronics classes in school really assisted also.

Here are à couple pics of the connection I just made. If you look closely, you can see how the Raychem heat shrink tubing seals with the clear adhesive once it's up to temp. Effectively creating a water proof seal.

The soldering helps with that also providing strength to the connection/

Nothing special here, Just the Lug crimper and a Milwalkie heat gun.

FOr sourcing all this locally to you. The Heat gun is from Home Depot, same with the Heat Shrink Tubing. Picked up the Lugs at AutoZone, and Advanced since they both only had 2 packs of 2, I snagged them all. Terminator is from West Marine. Goes from 8,6,4,2,1 on one side and 4/0, 2/0, 1/0 on the opposite side. You strike it with a hammer on a hard surface and DONE> I have a pair of 2' crimpers also, but tend to favor this one due to its size.

Was asked in PM what the actual HST was. Here is the packaging. It is rated to be submersible.

I just modified the mount area. Swapped out the mounting studs for longer ones. Reason being is the length between the slats on the front runner rack. 24" is where I needed to be. This is for the 2 SR2 20"ers.

    Shopping list
    1/2" Nylon Spacers x4
    1/4" x 1-1/2" Grade 8 Hex Bolt x4

    Pics to follow.

In no particular order, these are RIGID Industries LED Light Bars.

    1x 40" E2 Combo
    2x 20" SR2 Driving
    2x 6" SR2 Driving

Difference between an ATO and an ATC fuse. Look at the bottom of the fuse. See the opened and closed areas? -

    ATO being OPEN
    ATC being CLOSED

Next task is to drill the Mounts holes out to accomadate the M8 Bolts. Currently they fit M6 but that is not what the rack takes.

For the 40" Bar, I am taking measurements and debating on how to mount it. In the front, I have 3-1/2" to little less than 3-3/4" clearance under the rack. Initially i wanted to mount it to the front of the rack but after inspecting the mounts shipped, the wheels started turning.

The bar measures 3-1/4" so if I can squeeze it in there. I will remove the wind deflectors under both racks. having the bar across the front will defeat their purpose.

For the back rack, I am removing it (wind deflector) also. It takes up a whole rack bar under there. I need that rack rail for the mounting of the 20" bars on either side.

With the LF's in the bumper wings? Would definitely be unique...not that everything you are doing isn't unique!

How will you get all the wires into the cab from the roof with the racks and such?

Had been trying all day to get my Bars mounted. Drilled the mounts to accomodate the M8 hardware. DONE

Next was Presents, Lunch and Dinner. all needed to be cooked. DONE-

Went out to remove the wind screen off the rear Frontrunner rack My arm is still too thick to reach back the the center bolts. That means I need to UNBOLT the rack again and take them off. How... I dread that!

in the middle of prepping to remove the rack, I am reminded we have to go to a few houses for dinner. (but we ate already)- Got the 2 side bolts undone, still have the center of the windscreen.

So i pack it all up again and just install the rear 6"s.

Here I am, just got back and want to tackle the sides. This WIND and cold is chapping my hands. cant find a set of gloves for some reason. Wife says she washed them all and forgot where she put them.

Well, here is the start of the install.

    5ajusabe_cb778d7f955d9c44a2a0e8b98ba4990082647457.jpgtuzeje9y_9c71a2662855b580b81655cd23ce57440c125118.jpg

Still debating wether to pull an all nighter on this install. I'll decide after my Hot apple cider.

Will get some pics up later. Here is how I mounted the 20"s though. My intentions were initially to use the rail channels. Quickly I realized that there would be issues with the spacing and distance so far back. Longer M8 bolts and washers as spacers. MOUNTED. The 20"s butt right up against the Feet of the rack without touching. mm's there, enough for adjustment of the beam.

How can you possibly need more area lighting?! I mean...yes skyhear, I will gladly accept your money. :)

You could use some yellow lights though. Or just get lense covers for you 40 amd put them on wjen you need them.

I just got one from usrack nothing special. I'm not going to put to much weight up there. It wasn't to bad on the price too so if I don't like it, it won't hurt to bad to just take it off. Look at my build
