I recently purchased a 2011 AC, v6, 6spd, sr5, 4x4 Taco. No TRD stuff. What is the difference with the front skid plate, if any? I have "some sort" of a sheetmetal skid plate under the front. If it was a TRD OR would this plate that I see be any different?

Are you doing a lot of off roading? Mainly city driving? You should still have a skid plate on the front. I don't think that it matters if its a TRD or not.

The TRD off road package usually comes with the optional aluminum side plate that is a silver color and not the small black one that's on most other models, they look like this KGrHqNicE5gGCvvWGBOic7Lmk60_35_zps970dd3_44527ab00d10e35738a73dbcd50d2f22df5cc2aa.jpg

My OR just came with the standard black thin gauge steel splash guard. But if you want real skids, skip the TRD aluminum skid, and go with something like pelfreybilt or budbuilt.

x2 but if you just want to stick OEM like i did...

You have the steel one that comes on the SR5 and higher models....you can get an OEM aluminum one from a dealer for about $140 and it bolts on with one person, a jack and about 15-30min

Better than just the steel one from the SR5 package....the OEM is fine for those who don't really intend to use it...
