I'm watching a show on how a Ferrari is made in depth. It's pretty interesting. It's probably similar to a dodge plant but Ferrari puts a lot of time into quality inspections. I'm sure it pays off.

I thoroughly believe rolls are entirely "FUCK YOU I HAZ MONEY" cars.

no performance, but a giant engine to say you have HP.

It does weigh almost 3 tons
Do you know anything about the 6.4's?
Dad's looking at trucks on ebay as it sounds like the injectors are stuck in our truck and and we don't have the money to put a cummins in our truck, so i think he's thinking fix the 6.0 and sell it and get either a dodge (mega cab, 4x4, diesel (5.9)) 0r he found a 08 f-250 with the 6.4 he likes.

Ya what so you want to know? The 6.4 is a good engine but has it's issues like the 6.0 but not nearly as bad. I know corey (monstercoma) said he use to own one so he Can give you a first hand experience. If you have any true mechanical questions contact Dorian at power stroke Enginuities he knows as much as a person can know about a powerstroke

Mainly wondering if it has injector issues like the 6.0.

The main issues i've read about are the radiator leaking on the early models, and fuel getting into the oil.

Cool, if dad needs more info i'll talk to Corey and Dorian

The main issue was the radiator. Most people still do the egr delete and then follow up with a dpf delete. With the dpf he will get a max of 15 mpgs. I know a few guys who deleted and tuned and get 18 and up. I haven't heard of any injector issues. Fun fact the rods in the 6.4 are actually stronger than the ones in the 6.7 so the 6.4 can be set up to put more power down than the 6.7
But if you want injector Issues buy a duramax. Lol Isuzu modified the design to have better access to replacing injectors haha recently they figured out there metallurgy issues and fixed the warping heads causing them to blow head gaskets.

Thanks for the info, does the EGR delete affect MPG? on the 6.0 some said it increased, some said it decreased with a delete.

I was reading a little about those, some guys are saying it's from the ultra low sulfur diesel.
I don't know much about the duramax except my cousins husband bought one a few months ago (2010 (?) 4 door 4x4 diesel), haven't ever ridden in it, but it seams like one of those trucks you get rid of when the warranty expires (unlike the old dodges and fords)

It's a fail safe doesn't hurt and can only help. A duramax is a great engine but il never buy a Chevy. Same as dodge with me the cummins is an amazing engine but the trucks is rolling piece of shit. Also the "Allison" transmission in the Chevy isn't really an Allison it's really just a Allison case the 5r in the 6.0 and 6.4 is proven to be stronger than the Allison
