Sounds good. Unfortunately I don't think I can join just yet. I expect all day Friday and Saturday this weekend to be filled with looking at houses. I will probably still be looking Sunday as well for a bit before coming back home. Once I am over there, maybe we can have a get together at my new house. Wife and are won't touch anything less than 5 acres, which also means that we are a bit more toward the country and thus shooting becomes legal. I would also welcome guns at that point. We can even make an install meet out of it if anybody has anything to put on.

Any meets we have, I am usually 'that guy' who doesn't bring 12 ounce bottles of beer. I bring growlers. I hosted an install meet at my current place and invited guns there as well. I think there were about 10 trucks out here and some people carpooled, so something like 15 people total, and most of them brought a gun or 3 and we set up shooting for a little while. Guns ranged from .22 pistols to AR10. I am also a fan of having a fire every so often. Doesn't have to be a bonfire, but something to burn for awhile is nice.

I am staying in WA, especially in greater Spokane area. I am in construction for a living so I know I will already be driving quite a bit for whatever jobs I am going to. Add on top that I will be the only person in my company over here, so I get to be the worker, the foreman, and be higher up than that dealing with final customers, doing job walks and other things like that. Based on that, I then look to my wife. Her sister lives close to the wye in the north end of Spokane, and the wife will want to see her sister frequently. We also have a very close friend of the family (might as well be some extension of the family) who lives up on the bluff at 5 mile, and who also has property out at Priest Lake. That means frequent weekend trips to Priest Lake over the summer for us and our dogs. On those trip to the lake, it will typically be my sister in law + partner + their 3 dogs, property owner + 2 dogs, me and my wife + 3 dogs, and we pack everything we need for the weekend all onto 1 boat and go to the property which is on an island, just a little 10 minute boat ride from the marina.

    :goingcrazy:Finally got some freaking snow!!:goingcrazy:

I was massively impressed the way the Taco now handles in the snow, since I've slapped some Duratracs on there

There's some sort of phenomenon at work in the North West that states:
How slick the roads are is in direct proportion to how good of an idea people think it is to pull-out 20 feet or less in front of you, no matter how fast you are going... this law also applies to pedestrians

I freaking love it out here; it's better in almost every single way than the state I moved from: NY
EXCEPT THIS: your average driver out here is shockingly terrible... I'm not just talking about maneuvering; not even your Police use their blinkers

My wife and I were out in 9 mile falls area when the snow first started coming down. We drove back roads from there to Deer Park, Chattaroy, then Mead. While my wife was driving, she had the truck in 4x4 but when I took over, I kept it in 2wd traction control off for the most part. I think we may have found the house to get. Wifey is more into the house than me, but she said that she could see us raising children there. 10 acre lot, something like 2500-3000 sq ft house. Its a long narrow lot.

Yep, deer park. havent heard anything about duratracs being discontinued. that is a very popular tire, so it seems a little odd for them to discontinue unless they are about to roll out a newer edition of them or a new model to replace them.

Crazy hours means no time to spend said money as well, so more money later for smart things, like buying a house or modding the truck.
