What type of ammo are you looking for (hunting, home defense, practice rounds...)? I quickly got attached to www.gunbot.net to track ammo prices, and i also check in on www.luckygunner.com. Lucky Gunner has cheaper shotgun shells, but gunbot has cheaper 9mm rounds. those are the only 2 ammunitions i have checked on there. Amazon does not sell ammo online.

I just ordered 1000 9mm rounds from High Country through gunbot and including shipping, cost about $255. there are occasional deals that come through that sell out extremely fast. I saw a sold out listing for $.03 (yes three cents) per round. anything under $.20 tends to go pretty fast.

This time I'm looking for practice rounds... Have some "good stuff" that I don't want to waste on paper targets. Gun bot is where I found that ammo site. is one brand better than another? Is bulk packed ammo ok (compared to boxed)?

I honestly don't know. At the top of the list is the $.23/round for cheapest from High Country on gunbot. I am expecting my 1000 rounds to arrive about Tuesday. I bought some Herters aluminum cased rounds from Cabelas when I first got my M&P9, and it shot those just fine. That ran me I think $13+tax for a box of 50. The aluminum case is non reloadable, while brass is. The high country stuff is all brass casings. High Country must have a shit ton of the 9mm, because they had a 24 hour sale that was sold out a couple times at the same price listed now, and they still seem to have ammo in stock for all the crazies to keep buying.

Anyone have any luck with the sight mark magnifiers

I just put one on my .22 and I'm seeing double reticles when I look through the magnifier.
I just switched the setup to my AR and it seems to be the same problem.

Any thoughts? Its obviously a cheapo setup but I'd like it to work on at least the .22

I have heard they have this problem on the window, not the magnifier. Does it only appear through the magnifier?

I'm getting excited. My 1000 rounds are going to be here today. Just checked tracking and it left a local shipping point about 4:50 this morning and is listed as out for delivery. 9 mm 115 gr FMJ, brass casing, with shipping about 25¢ per round. I can see how this stuff does compared to some other cheap ammo I got at Cabelas when I first got my gun.

    Nope not on backwards

On the window its perfectly clear no problems there. its looking throught the magnifier I see double. If I change where I'm looking through it at I can get it to be right but I'm clearly looking through it off center

Well I've used Froglube for a little while in a couple different situations. Its okay. It definitely has its uses. I have it on my AR and on two of my shotguns. So far its run great on my AR but I've only shot a couple hundred rounds. I purchased a brand new Remington 870 12ga super mag for duck hunting this year. Froglube went on immediately. First time I took it out it shot good, no problems, shot about 40 rounds. I noticed that the froglube likes to trap dirt and dust a lot more than petroleum. I didn't wipe it dry after applying I left it went. Didn't clean the gun. Went out another time shot maybe 10 times expirenced two double feeds. Didn't clean it. Went out a 3rd time. Gun shot about 50% of the time. In was getting very light primer strikes, sometimes I had to reshoot a round 3 times before it would fire. On that morning it was cold, maybe around 25 degrees. The frog lube gets very pastry and gooey at low temperatures from what I can tell and was messing with the firing pin/spring etc. The gun was not mistreated but it was definitely left dirty after duck hunting a couple times on a boat. None of my other shotguns with petroleum lubricants have ever given me trouble going through the same treatment. I'll be removing the froglube from the action of my shotguns and using oil instead. I will however leave it on the outside metal surfaces of the gun. It is a lot better at repelling water than oil.

Froglube does however make cleaning guns a hell of a lot easier. Wipe off reapply. No scrubbing, no stuck on carbon, nothing.

I will continue to use it on my AR but so far it has low marks on my cold weather shotguns.

Ran great, but I was only able to put 50 rds through it. Never fired a 1911 before...me likely

And its not really a range..

Just a place people go to shoot since there's no open ranges here

Has anybody put a suppressor on a 22 rifle? Im wanting to suppress it to carry into the deer stand during archery season to shoot squirrels with in the middle of the day when nothing is moving.

Also, if you have, how do 22lr vs 22 shorts sound out of it? basically I want to pop them without spooking deer too much. and also if a fox or somethin comes in out of bow range I would try and pop that one too
