    no no no, i mean everyone will have their own opinion on what is an "ideal" gear for each size tire. And most of that is just based on a personal preference. I just didnt want to hear "well actually 4.88 is better because blah blah blah"

    i know. we (brady in his infinite boredom) has crunched the numbers countless times. i believe its simple...if you want to gear the truck for more rock crawling/most off roading just go one gear size down, if its your dd and you want to do 85+ without screaming the rpms dont gear down so low.

    actually 4.88 with autos is better. due to the trannys taller gears. as you pointed out.

    4.56 with a manual is great though with 33s.
