Merry Christmas, everyone!! We got an inch of snow throughout the day yesterday - just enough to make it a white Christmas!

And for anyone I may have offended with my Christmas wishes, here is the 2013 statutory Annual Greeting.

Please accept, with no obligation, implied or implicit, the best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non-addictive, gender and gender-identity neutral, celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasions and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all . . . . . and a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling, and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2014, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures (such as the Mayan calendar that predicts EOT was 2012 but never happened) whose contributions to society have helped make America great, (not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country or is the only "AMERICA" in the western hemisphere or that there are not other hemispheres of equal dignity), and without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith, lifestyle focus or sexual preference or identity of the wishee.

Oh BTW, it's equally if not MORE important to read into the disclaimer in fine print with magnifying glass if you have one as follows:

(By accepting this greeting, you are accepting these terms. This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal. It is freely transferable with no alteration to the original greeting. It implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for her/him or others, and is void where prohibited by law, and is revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher. This wish is warranted to perform as expected within the usual application of good tidings for a period of one year, or until the issuance of a subsequent holiday greeting, whichever comes first, and warranty is limited to replacement of this wish or issuance of a new wish at the sole discretion of the wisher. Terms are subject to change without notice. By accepting this greeting the recipient acknowledges that s/he is represented by counsel or knew of their right to be represented by counsel and decided to accept the greeting without such representation. Do not remove this disclaimer under penalty of law).

I'm offended at the notion that you had to apologise for the said notion of offending someone by giving them good wishes .then I'm offended of the disclaimer of the said offense covering your butt for butt hurt that good cheer giving is offensive. Therefor I do not accept the said statements in the fact I want to wish EVERYONE a MERRY CHRISTMAS. And if you don't like the fact I wished you good things for you and your family..
    TURN THE PAGE.......

    Hehehe

Stay well everyone. Give your family big hugs today. I sure am...

I find it best, being a university professor in today's politically correct, hypersensitive, it's not my fault, me-first zeitgeist, campus environment to just ignore the idea of the season and simply wish the students a "safe and enjoyable holiday."

Otherwise, I would like to wish all of you a very MERRY CHRISTMAS (or happy holidays should that be more appropriate for you).

My sister had more food than we could ever possibly eat. The dessert was extra fine. A five layer cake with red velvet and cheese cake layers.

Good Morning All...Happy Day After Christmas to All!!!
After a busy Christmas Eve and a great dinner for friends and family that night, we ran to the kids houses to give them their gifts then home to clean up from Christmas Eve night...had to take a 3 hour nap before cleanup. All in all, it was a terrific Christmas.

Good morning all. Finishing up a cup of coffee then heading to the gym. I think I put on 5 pounds yesterday alone.

    Evening all:
This is getting old!!! Got another letter from the IRS today asking for copies of the bank statements, or cancelled checks for my HCTC payments for 2011. I SENT THOSE HCTC PAYMENTS TO THE IRS, DON'T THEY HAVE RECORDS? I would think that would be pretty easy to look up, but no; it's on me! Nothing but a bunch of BS!!!!!! :goingcrazy:
I can see what's going to happen when they are running NHC.
Went out with the flinchlock this afternoon and finally saw 3 deer, but too far and running. :(

(You notice I get to use the :goingcrazy: a lot ) !!!:annoyed:

Maybe you should take the flintlock down with you to drop off the bank statements to the IRS? :notsure: .... Guess that probably wouldn't work, but you have to admit it's a tempting thought? ;)

Hang in there Carl. Hope those deer are in range next time out. :)

Yep, good luck with the black powder deer hunting Carl. When does your season end? Our archery season ends December 31.

Sorry about the troubles with your IRS. Here, we just have to deal with Revenue Canada.

    Doc. Flintlock season ends Jan.11.

Guess what! The IRS is actually right on this one. The lady that did my taxes made a "BIG" mistake on what she put down as a 7.5% retroactive credit on HCTC. She used the wrong figures that were on a form that the IRS sent.
This is going to cost me! :(
