So for someone with 2 sets of D's and projector headlights, i will probably be fine with the hypersopts?

Yeah, more than likely. How are your projectors holding up with all the high speed stuff you do? Mine hated it haha. Glad to be back to stock....well...in that respect :D

I'm going to chime in here Ben, - Not negative, remember that about me. I just tell it like it is.

Ok - For me. I went with a E2 50" at first, if I remember correctly. Then I wanted something that actually fit my rack in the front so it looked like it belonged and didn't stretch the length of the roof.

I ended up getting the E2 40" - Still got the same speech, but I'm hardheaded and want the latest and greatest. No one locally to me has any of this that I am able to find so it will be trial and error for me on this particular project.

    Front ---------- E2 40" - Combo
    Right Side ---- SR2 20" - Driving
    Left Side ------ SR2 20" - Driving
    Rear ---------- SR2 6" x2 - Driving

    That is all WHITE

Additionally i am getting a SET of the D2's for the back of the Rack on the cab to act as Work Lights. Again in White.

As for the YELLOW - My current ARB DELUXE BULL BAR has the FOG and signal light combo in them as the standard equipment. Debating on ripping that out and putting a set of D2's in WHITE and a set of D2's in YELLOW - side by side on both sides. Yellow, does best down low for those inclimate weather situations.

^^^ Alternative to this is going to a full mod on the bull bar with 2x 170's and 2x 140's LightForces in there. <- rather do this.

Debating on doing an SR2 10" Yellow for the Hood also. I do not have the Scoop Hood, so I would have to either swap someone or buy one in order for that to work out.

Most likely the Hood issue after paint, and the purchase would bring me to the next idea below. This is the more plausible. Read below.

My GRILL is currently barren of any mods, besides the Grill craft. Again, Considering putting a E or E2 in there. Measured it and I can squeeze a 30" with a little modification to the already modded sides of the grill. That would end up being a Combo. Most likely a custom one in Yellow and White LEDs. That will put the Light down low and keep me in the color temps I will need in fog and dust, etc.

other misc lighting is the Rock lights, 4x wheel well lights, marker lights (if I cut out the ARB's, would like to replace them on the bumper), recessed reverse lights or D2's as reverse lights once I get my plate bumper.

    As for your choices

I feel you should end up with a roof mounted bar and some light down low. The hood is going to glare, so you will need to address that issue yourself. I am buying some clear plastidip in a SATIN finish to play with. That will reduce the glare and not change the color, will just look dull.

I fish and hang on the beaches all the time. In warmer areas that is...

1.Get the E2 50" Combo for the roof. It will send the light all over the beach.

2.Swap out your D's for some D2's on the hood in white. SELL THE D's or put them on the rear, or use them as 'ALLEY' lights, meaning on the side of your truck. Could put them mounted behind the cab, on a swivel mount, on the rail of the bed.

3.Get a set of the D2's in yellow for the lower part of the truck. OR

4.Get an SR2 In YELLOW for the lower part of the stock bumper. As those guys in the other thread. Think it is a 30" down there.

FOr the pricing of D2's 379 and the D's 199 you already have. thats roughly 600...

SR2 30" is 899 - they could probably make it in a Yellow for you.

SR in Yellow 30" is 799.

That would keep you in the light properly.

    E2 50" roof
SR or SR2 30" Yellow for the bumper
D2 hood. <- really, you could eliminate these from the build all together and save that money.

Even another idea. They can make the 50" in a COMBO - YELLOW and WHITE>..

For your setup skygear, I think you'll love all of it, but the driving beam pattern is VERY nice. Thats the game-changer to your setup. You get light at a decent distance, and TOTALLY filled in where you want it on those side lights and reverse. For the front, you'll be a good sounding board for feedback. I'm anxious to see how you like it.

Driving pattern is tits. Haven't seen the hyper spot yet, but if you don't have any fill lights I think you're missing out. The combination of the driving pattern and separate lights in hyperspot would be awesome I assume. That's what I'll eventually go with. Two Q2 In hyperspot to go with my D2s in driving beam. Should be a nice setup.

(20" insert Amber SR-Combo, and E Series 30" in the Lower Bumber) Also will but covers, black and Amber for whatever set I buy so please add that into the price.

    SR-Q2 - Hyperspot - Pair
    D2 - Hyperspot - Pair
D2 - Driving or Wide- Pair

Send cost and I will order in the next week.

I am thinking white since I will have an Amber DT 20" Combo in the RI Grill insert. Pattern I am thinking hyper spot if you all think that is a good idea with my other lights... E series 30" Combo below the bumper.

??? Don't have any spots yet

What is your current light setup DryCreek? Most people are happy with the white light and never really have an issue. Being here, local. We deal with FOG all the time, snow, and really heavy rains being on the coast. Yellow has made a big difference to me in the past, thus why I want to get that spectrum covered also.

For the hood, I saw most people using that area for a WHITE light. Be unique, put a yellow/amber in there. OR get a custom 10" done up in both WHITE and YELLOW/AMBER.

That will solve the the debate and add the full driving spectrum.

Not that it is any of my business. However, I 'spoke' to Ben earlier, its the holidays. So if you haven't got a quote from him yet, be patient. He reassured me he would get to it in a timely manner.

Just a happy client passing on the good word!

I always recommend the specter series for that, its identical to the SR2 technology, and all driving pattern. Cant ask for a better light from the hood scoop. Many lumens. Much bright. Very wow.
