    The snow would just turn to ice under my tires pretty much instantly when they spun and the fact that both rigs were trying to go up hill didn't help me any... this was after I ripped the slider off and right before we got the hi-lift out. Just a small bump.

    The rear two frame plates are still attached to the frame via the bolts, and I ripped the sliders off their frame plates.

    Notice how the 1 frame plate is still there on the right of the pic (it is the front one that basically wasn't attached to the frame and the other two legs are missing their frame plates because they are still bolts to the frame. The welds literally broke before the bolts did.

    Just out of curiosity, since you are an ME, what is the breaking point of a couple of course thread 1/2" bolts? Like the point they would either sheer or strip the nuts off the bolts. I think Cameron's are grade 5 and he had 2 on each leg. I have 3 grade 8's on each of my legs.

    I see. I just asked, because personally I just can't imagine it is that much lower than the welds themselves, especially since you can only weld the sliders to the frame plates themselves so much.

    In Cameron's case, had those two bolts on the front leg actually been holding on, I don't think I would have ripped the slider off or at least not as easily as I did anyway.

    Do it. Don't bother with the shit connector. You won't be able to set it up right with out special crimpers anyways and they fucking suck anyways. Just get some new connectors.
