Keep in mind all the cutting, chopping, and banging was to fit 33.5-34" tires. So real 35.5" tires would probably require the body lift....

its not the height of the tire from the ground to top that matters. it the height from the center of the wheel to the outside of the tire that matters, that never changes. surprised nobody mentioned that.

with that measurement it doesn't matter if the weight is on the tire or not its always the same. just easier to compare sizes. measure from center of wheel to top of the tire and times by 2. instead of measuring a loaded tire to an unloaded tire.

No but the center of the wheel is a crappy place to measure from...no two people will getbthe same point...

really you can't find the center of the dust cap? its not hard at all. true size of the tire is unloaded, and that matters more when comparing tires to see what might fit better on your vehicle clearance wise.

Oh to get the overall actual tire height? If you're going to measure from the center to the outside(good luck), you might as well just calculate the tire size.

Dude all your posts are just trolling.

What dust cap??? You must be referring to the one that is hidden by the center cap on the wheels that may not show you a good center point. I prefer rim lip to tire edge...much easier to deal with than hub to tire for figuring out clearance. and is a super easy measurement to get from random folks on the web...sucks when you ask someone and they say shit like 22-22 1/2 when talking lift height from hub to flare...thanks for the sarcasm and merry Xmas!

Also worth noting is that most folks in this thread a running a full size spare...we can get unlosded or loaded measurements.

sorry to piss on your thread lol, drunk and saw a bunch of photos comparing loaded and unloaded tires. center caps? mine all broke on my stock wheels after the first couple wheeling trips, and most don't run them with aftermarket wheels. rim lip to tire edge is a good idea, never thought of that.

and ghost im running 315/75/16's and will be jumping to a 36 by 12.5 when these wear out. got me some long travel to install and going to cut my fenders and flares up 2.5 to 3 inches.

I'm more interested in ground clearance, so measuring the loaded tire bottom to top is more relevant than the unloaded height.
