I did as little research on them and yes they are pricey. I didn't pay that much for my bullpup stock that's on my sks. Are y'all just taking about getting the M&P .22 AR?

Yeah but then you still have a 10/22. For the price of a 10/22 and a cool stock, you can have an M&P 15-22 that will function much better than a Ruger 10/22.

Having owned both M&P15-22's as well as 10/22 in various stocks and being the one to installed them to see how they're built and fit and finish I can tell you that there is simply no comparison. One is a child's toy modified to look like a real weapon (usually with little quirks here and there that prevent all of the training from carrying over to an AR15) and the other was built from the ground up as a real weapon with the same specs & same book of arms for operation as that it was built to replicate in a smaller caliber. If you change your mind on what you're like you've got PLENTY of AR15 accessories to choose from since they fit. The base system is still the same which isn't a bad thing.

I went looking through the threads under the guns topic and didn't see anything as a for sale section. I don't want to do things wrong but the BS thread seems like it might have people that know better, so please correct me if I am putting this in the wrong area.

The conversion kits cost almost as much as a 15-22, plus you have to take your centerfire AR out of action and your zero changes on your optics.
