    The short answer is no.

You'd have to cut and trim a lot to get them to fit

I have 275/70r/17's on with no lift. A wider 32.5" tall tire fits, I think they will fit.

    They are only a 1/4" taller than 265/70/17 , and 3/8" narrower

    They're a half inch taller. 32.1" instead of 31.6"

My bad , still only puts them 1/4" closer to any rubbing if the tire is 1/2" larger diameter

Yes they fit on a tacoma with stock suspension. But you'll have to remove the front mud flaps. I'm running these size tires on FJ steel wheels but my tires are BFG KM mud.

They shrink in width and grow only .41". Yes you should be fine

You probably had an issue with contacting the flaps due to the BS of the FJ wheels

That may have been my issue. FJ wheels with KM's

I think that it would be very close, but they wouldn't fit. I am running that size, but I have the TSB rear springs and FJ wheels which have a slight amount more offset. I get very slight rubbing on something on throne left wheel under braking and/or slow speed turning. Probably just catching some wheel well. I'd like to get 5100s and lift it the least amount to fix my rubbing.

You're gonna have a hard time trying to wheel with those. I have a 3" OME lift and it's still close

The 265/75R16 Mickey Thompson MTZ's on my truck measured 32" exactly new. The only thing I had to do was remove the mud flaps front and rear. I get no rubbing, even at full stuff. That's running the stock OR rims.

265/75/16 is the same size as 265/70/17

I am giving a perspective on what fits without rubbing - the total tire width/height has nothing to do w/ the rim size.

Pretty close. The 265/70R17 MTZ's on my wife's 4Runner measure 31.9" tall and slightly wider than than the 265/75R16's on my truck.

As soon as jbmccul posted they were the same my brain clicked into gear

But I think the fact that your wifes being 31.9 comes down to the manufacturing process and not all of them being the same.

Click the link in my previous post, check the specs - tire sizes aren't written in stone. Manufacturer's can and do operate within some "wiggle room" in sizing. Tire sizing runs different from manufacturer to manufacturer and tire to tire.

Comparison of Mickey Thompson STZ's, notice the difference in sizes for the same two tires:

The 265/75R16's are 31.46" tall and the 265/70R17's are 31.6" tall

According to this they should only be .04" in difference

And I looked at that link they say its 31.56 and 31.61 respectively not as large as a difference as you say they are.

Wiggle room yea but it shouldn't be and 1/8th of an inch wiggle room like your suggesting.

EDIT: I looked at the chart and saw some are for LT and some not

    265/70/16 30.4
    LT265/70/16 30.63

    265/70/17 31.43
    LT265/70/17 31.61

The wiggle room seems to come down to tread depth and load rating.

Click the link for the STZ's again and compare LT tires to LT tires and tell me what you see.

The tire calculator you posted is generic sizing and pretty close to what you get. The tire manufacturers specs dictate the actual tire size not a generic tire calculator on a forum.

Click the link for the manufacture specs on the MTZ's - do you think Mickey Thompson just can't figure out what size their tires are or do you think that maybe when they manufactured more aggressive off road tires w/ deep lugs they slightly increased the over-all size so that the tires wouldn't seem dramatically undersized as they wore away the deep lugs?

The manufacturer's specs are what the tires are (or at least what they are attempting to make them) - the generic tire calculator is just that - generic, close, but not exact.
