I have a set of TRD on my 99 tacoma and they are peeling and just look rough so I ordered some new ones off line and now I'm faced with the challenge of getting the old ones off the truck now. I'm pretty sure these stickers have been on the truck since new. What can I do to get them off??? I've tried a razor blade to try to peel the stickers up but they just break and the glue stays. So what can I do to get them off easier?

Heat gun and patience should do the trick.

    Put the blade down.

If you want to do it right, get a 3M eraser/decal remover wheel for your drill.

It'll literally remove the decal and erase the adhesive underneath it with ease.

With a razor blade you're risking scratching your clear coat and paint. With a heat gun you're risking damaging your paint, if you're not careful.

Trust me when I say this: If a knob like me can't screw up using the 3M eraser wheel, no one can.

I used a head gun and plastic blade to scrape the adhesive off. The heat gun will allow you to pull the sticker off but then the adhesive will still be there. I used orange oil to soften the glue and then a plastic blade to scrape it off completely. Once you are done, use simple green to take off the orange oil and then a good wax buff and you are good to go.
