Mine was built with pride at the Nummi plant in Fremont, and it has been the most reliable, trouble-free vehicle I have ever owned. I'm curious to see how many Nummi-built trucks are here:)
AND list your trouble frequency, if any.
It is just my opinion that Nummi-built trucks may be the best. Are they?

Freemont but 2005 2nd gen. Have had leaking rear main at 50k & leaking rr axle seals/wet shoes at 56k & of course there are all the possible TSB issues with springs/tailgate bending/eng bracket frame welds etc etc etc to work around. Nothing too much to worry about but definitely NOT the bulletproof idestructo of decades gone by.

My 08 was NUMMI. My 09 is Mexico.

    Same exact truck. Same quirks.

The workers in the Baja California plant in Mexico have a shit load of pride. Economically, this is the best thing to happen to that area in a long time. It's quite a privilege to work at that plant.

any bloodstains up in the framerails?

Wow-that list makes me wonder if quality suffers bcause the same # of builders have to build more trucks to meet demand?

How come you got rid of the '08? That's great to hear about the Baja plant. You guys ever catch anything about the Nummi workers?

Honestly. The built in reverse camera integrated into the rear view mirror. That and the hill descent assist. Which is really cool.

    Kind of sad. I know.

Mine is a NUMMI built. I love my Taco, but when I bought it the back up camera didn't work. I knew this when I got it, and the tech at my dealership repaired the wiring harness. Then the Phillips made radio started displaying Japanese and doing nothing else. So in goes the Panasonic made stock stereo. Then about 2 months later the +2 tweeters in the headliner started buzzing. So I have the fade all the way forward, and am contemplating a new head unit speaker upgrade for Christmas. Besides those minor issues, I am truly happy with my truck.:rockband:
