    It seems to me Gates challenged the officers authority by playing the race card to begin with. The officer probably felt challenged so he stepped up and arrested him just to show who’s boss. Based on the article the officer doesn’t seem to be raciest to me.

    Weather the arrest was warranted or not I’m not sure. Thoughts?

    The assumption that all Black/Police conflicts/arrests are due to racial profiling is in itself an insidious form or racism. Obama showed a very dark side of himself the other day in his press conference. Black Americans are increasingly being viewed as actually not wanting equality as it would diminish their racial grievances. Let each situation stand on its own facts. Gates is clearly a racist, and Obama is "confused".

    Personally, Im for "Racial Profiling". If Someone was attacked by an out of shape , middle aged white guy in a Silver Tacoma, and I was stopped and investigated, I would totally understand.
