Hey guys, picked my 14' dbl cab 4x4 trd off road w/ entune plus for 29k before tax, tag title. Only thing I'm adjusting to is the crappy mirror they put back and removing the compas, temp, and the auto dim mirror. apparently you can only get the auto dim mirror in the "limited" trim. Bleh.

Hello guys, new here to the forum. I've worked in the car industry @ BMW but never as a mechanic. I'm only 23 so all I have done is title work and preowned porter and loaner dept. I moved on and went into a different career using my degree. BUUUT i still know people that manage to help me out with prices and discounts and tradein deals. So i went to a local Toyota dealer went on and bought a new 2014 Tacoma for about 22K after TTL. Its a basic 4 door Crew Cab PreRunner SR5 w/ Entune Plus Radio and Backup camera. (As far as I know those were the only extras.) No fog lights, no leather , no step board, no nothing. I wanted to start from scratch when modding and adding stuff. Sticker Price was 29,237 and the lower number of the 3 on the sticker price was 26,499.
Since I did go with a previous manager to the dealer. He did all the talking and told me what i wanted to pay and to let her do the magic. She brought it down to 20,500 before TTL. I did not get any warranty or anything. Just the truck AND VAMONOS.

So when they say they cant go any lower.. they can. And even if they lose on the deal which sometimes happen they dont care cause they know they have ripped off someone else on warranty or a trade in or just buying a vehicle. So far im loving my 14' Tacoma and happy i left behind the BMW for this.

PS. There was also the Texas Edition which was $3000 more but i didnt think it was worth it for just the mats and rims and stepboards.

Hey there. You did good on the Texas package, the step bars you can put on yourself for about $300.

I'm curious, why do you think the warranty is a ripoff? I got one for 8 years and I do know it's not cheap but I thought I might get some of it back when I turn around and sell a 6-7 year old well kept taco with some warranty still on it.

Always open to what others think.

anyone getting deals right now??? end of year??

i have been consumed the last week shopping for a 4runner or taco, i want to come back and have convinced myself to let me 350z go and get another truck!!

i am exploring edumunds/trucar pricing and costco for trying to save money, seems that 1 and 2 year old Tacos go for about as much as a NEW Taco!! crazy

still on the fence whether to get a 2007-2009 or get a 2012-2014 seems to be a fair gap in price

Need DCSB or DCLB and want locker at least

There are no Pyrite Mica DC 4X4's in CA...so says all the dealerships.

At $28,537 + TTL..... for a Pyrite Mica DC pre-runner with TRD off-road.

On the fence about making the deal. I wish it wasn't 3K more for 4X4.

I was offered $30,900.00 last night as a first offer for the following before leaving the dealer:
    '14 DCLB TRD Sport
    Tow Package
    Entune Audio

I countered with $29,000.00 OTD about an hour ago and left the dealer again. I'll let you know what they come back with, but I think I might have pushed too hard.

I purchased my DCSB a couple weeks ago.....at that time, I was being told that there were only 3 configured the way I wanted.....
    Supply & demand......
The dealers in my area just didn't have a lot of 4x4's
    Again MSRP $33650
    I paid $31050 + TTL

I am looking at $31,150 + TTL for an Sport access cab 4X4 in magnetic grey with a tow package, auto trans, with Entune, no Navigation, No floor mats. That is a Costco price in the Bay Area.

I don't know how some of you guys are getting a lower price, a lot of the deals seem to be on the East Coast?? Anyway that is the way it is around here when you have to order one. At least I will finally be getting a Taco... been waiting a couple of years!

    4x4.

My offer ended up being too aggressive and I scared them out of the deal. I still have $30,900.00 on paper. I could likely take that to another dealership and get 500 off in order to get my business. I was really hoping for 30k OTD as I thought they'd be dealing harder. All in all though, its not terrible I guess.

I purchased '14 mgm trd offroad dc 4x4 v6 tow package, chrome exhaust tip, entune plus, and all weather mats. The sticker 34091 paid 30800 plus ttl. I'm not sure if i did good or bad but it's what I wanted. I came from an '04 trd offroad ext cab 4x4 v6.
