power cables yes it should..hose..no idea.

 

Duty cycle ratings presented in terms of minutes is misleading information. To be meaningful, duty cycle should be presented as a percentage number.

For example, the best compressors (read: expensive) have a 100% duty cycle. Which means they will run continuously and never shut down because of heat.

Without a recovery time, the information smittybilt is providing is somewhat meaningless. But even so, if it is a 50% duty cycle, it would take 40 minutes to recover from the heat. If it runs long before shutting down.

I am a bit surprised by the 40 minute number. I'm guessing the reality will be less than that. How much less will depend a lot on the tires size, how high a pressure you put in the tire and whether it is 32* or 85* outside.

 

Exactly. I was surprised as well by there not being a %. Maybe I'll have to do some more digging on sites other than Amazon to find specs. Even so, if it takes 5 min a tire even at half the advertised "duty cycle" it would fill all 4 before shutting off

It takes me almost 20 minutes to fill up my skinny 33's with my ARB and it puts out more air than a 480C.

My Tacoma is heavy dude! I have been getting lots of side tread wear so I pump them up to 50 psi in the summer to wear down that center tread. Supposedly I should get better fuel economy that way too. In the winter I drop them down to 25 psi and just leave them there. I typically wheel at 20 psi though.

I used to run my 33x10.5 BFGs at 32 and found 40 much more to my liking. Better mpgs I think and maybe a little more power too.

Run the tire pressure at whatever gives you even tread wear. The 35" MTR/Ks was in the low 20s

 

Hmm... I wonder if mine will do 15 to 40 in 180 seconds them. That sounds about right. I did 1 tire from 20 to 50 in 5:05 and 20-40 in 3:20 which is 200 seconds... so yours is more than twice as fast as mine it looks like. I think my hose and ARB gauge slow down fill up though...

 

350 for a 20lb co2 kit..or less I think for a fixed regulator.

Good god I couldn't do that anymore.
