    Have a good trip!

Dad liked the jack - he didn't know what it was, the weight of the box threw him off.
And they loved the coffee maker...I wanted to try it out on Xmas morning but mom said no :(
Santa brought Toy a new battery...I still have the same one that was in there when I bought the truck 6 years ago!

Have fun with the grands! Going sledding or anything fun?

Today's one of my best days of 2013 for sales. Got 120k in orders. Our DC salesman is in today and he said DC/Bmore was dead as a door nail at 6am today.

Hi guys and gals, hope everyone had a good holiday :)

Lisa, I was watching Nature last night, it was one I had seen before about Yellowstone in winter, they profiled a guy named Richard who hikes in every year to shoot photos. Dude seemed like one tough mother to deal with the cold. Called Yellowstone in the winter his "church", very cool. I want to check that out some day.

i've reached the point where I prefer to take my time as well; so I'd just drop in line behind you at a safe distance. ;)

Glad they were happy; always nice when you have them stumped and wondering. :D

:anonymous: I was hoping to get a review from ya'll on the coffee maker; I might want to pick up one myself.

Toy must have been due for a battery. At 6 yrs he was probably not many bitter cold snaps away from having issue.

i can almost hear her whine. ;)

I want to go sledding, but not today. High temp 3F; probably tomorrow or Saturday, it's forecasted into high teens and mid 20s.
I cooked breakfast for everybody this morning after cleaning up the last of the dishes from yesterday. They're watching a movie with Kristi right now. I'm debating a late morning nap. Feels nice for us both to have the time off together with them. Best Christmas present they could give us! :D

 Chris. I've seen that one, very cool.

Do you mean "Christmas in Yellowstone" with Tom Murphy? This guy?

    I not whiny :pout:

I'll give you a full report on the coffee maker when I can. I asked mom to at least set it all up and run some water through it - then if anything is wrong I can exchange it.

During the cold snap we had earlier this month Toy was definitely not happy and I could tell a significant difference when starting him up. I'd rather be safe than sorry and replace the battery now before I'm left stranded.

Yeah, that's him, dude's a stud. He's into photography like I want to do. Hike yer ass out into the wilderness and get into the right spots. Some of his shots are stunning and the only way you get those is being super familiar with the area and knowing when the conditions and light could be the best and the only way to do that is to spend A LOT of time out there.

He's a pretty cool guy...and one of the few people I know who spends more time in Yelly than me! He's been doing a lot of work in Antarctica lately - there is a cruise line that he works for and they do photography expeditions down there.
He does lectures here a couple of times a year...in fact I think here's one coming up next week. He always has lots of cool stories.

He's definitely one dude I'd want to meet, he sees places like Yellowstone the same way I do, in a spiritual sense. I'm related to Kit Carson, another hardy soul who spent a lot of time in the wilderness. I want to get into that kind of Kit Carson/John Muir/Ansel Adams kind of thing and be good enough to spend weeks in the backcountry hiking and shooting. That and I'd love to quiz him on his gear set up:D

He does guided trips into the park but they are super expensive. I'll take you and show you the same spots...it will only cost you sammiches

It was good. He didn't do very well opening presents. Too easily distracted.
