I lost my mounting disk so I just suctioned it to the windshield near the driverside window. I actually like it better there i can glance down at the tac then up at the gps then right out the window

i also stuck mine to the window on the driverside in the left corner it seemed to be the best place, plus i didnt want to ruin the dash by putting the sticky plate on it.

Mine is in the upper left corner of the window- Lets me see out the window and look up at it without looking away from the path of travel too much.

Also gave me the option to run a power cable up the door pillar for charging.

I ran mine to the bottom right corner of the windshield like most here. I've considered putting it up top like Brunes, but never had the ambition to run the wire under the pillar. My charging wire gets routed from the outlet, across the top of my steering wheel and tucked up the side of the dash.

I have a cheapie Garmin and move it between two trucks. In the taco I just stick it in the cubby under the stereo. It works OK, looks quite good and is hard to see when parked. The display is very clear because no glare down there.

IMO sticking them to the windshield is asking for a smash & grab.

I haven't either...I still have to figure out how I'm going to power it....

The traffic service reciever is in the power cable...and I'm not sure I can cut it to hot wire it up....Might have to use an add-a-circuit to a cigarette lighter and then plug the cord into that...but I'm still working on it

I've got a ProClip - but I'm not sure they make it anymore. It wedges inbetween the control panel and sometimes the panel pops out a bit. Probably why they stopped making it (I think). Mine's been pretty good and it holds it perfectly. It just doesn't 'click' into place on the control panel like it should.

Mine is hardwired, mounted on a small disc above the cd player. Ran the external mic up in to the overhead console. Connected it to my USA spec
so the directions/phone/mp3 plays over the stero.

I mounted mine in the empty space directly under the cig lighter and power outlet. Mounted the plate for the suction cup to the right side using mounting putty, and the rest fits into place by turning the mounting bracket 90 degrees. Plugged the adapter in the cigarette lighter (since I don't smoke), and ran the cabling behind the whole mess. My Garmin 200W fits pretty well there.

It's still easy enough to glance down and see when I need to. My right arm naturally covers it while I'm holding on to the steering wheel, so I just adjust my arm slightly when I need to see the light/map. It blends in well enough that I feel safe leaving it in there 24/7. Since it's not up higher on the dash near the window, most people wouldn't look for it there or notice it while it's off.

I'll post pics when I get home from work.
