My dad came to visit and brought gifts. Apparently Pliny is somewhat of a challenge to get even around him and he is only 10 miles from the brewery.

Depends on line cleaning. Draft can suck if lines are neglected.

I heard this too. I'd never been a fan of New Belgium until they started their small batch stuff. Bring on the sours, they're a nice change of pace from IPA's.

Sour is definitely going to be big. The hard thing is that they take years to make.

Just had one of my homebrew Black IPAs, best IPA I have ever had! :D

I have a couple friends that own a small brewery and was talking to one of them about Sours, he didn't have much interest, I think because of the time involved. I hope he gets excited about em and starts working on some small batches soon because they brew some great beer, and Sour's are gonna be the next big thing. I suppose it's hard for a small brewery to invest in a product that you can't sell for a year and a half at best and then might not be drinkable.

Exactly; that beer eats up a lot of rent money just sitting there where fast turn over beer could go. I am interested in seeing how the sours are developing though and have thought about trying to homebrew one. I come back to the same problem your friend has though; limited space and equipment.

Currently now I have two 5 gallon wine batches and 5 gallons of Stubby's IPA fermenting.

I met a guy earlier this year who shared his Tactical Nuclear Penguin with me. At 32%abv, it's the strongest I've ever tasted. It was actually pretty good though.
Tonight I'm enjoying a Lagunitas "Hop Stoopid".

You've been busy. You know, when you think about IPA's from ten years ago, they were pretty boring. I can't wait to see what we can do with Sours.
I don't want a beer that goes down easy, I want it kickin and screamin all the way down.
