    I just got a 10 buck IR one from Amazon and all i wanted it for was long exposures in Bulb mode. Works perfect.

    Yeah this one has a timer that you can set longer than 10 seconds and it will also automatically shoot at set intervals.

    Here's what I use

    I can easily do time lapse with it. No limit really on how long. Uses 2 AAAs, had it over a year and haven't burned through them yet. Has two stage button for AF and locks down for bulb with timer. Beeps for alarms and everything. Really handy

    got some nice star shots tonight with the new remote. Sadly the damn clouds moved in :mad: but was still fun and cool to do. Can't wait to do more. Was DYING for a wide angle lens..seriously..not sure why some of the stars where so purple either..

    Hi Guy's, I am new here so I hope you don't mind if I share a few tips that work for me. Most auto focus lens won't focus on a dark sky even the good ones. If I am going out to shoot the milky way or the Aurora I will go outside just before dark and focus on the sky or a cloud and then switch the auto focus to manual. I the use gaffers tape to tape across the lens so the focus stays the same. It sure works for me. Here is a link to my page as I can't figure out how to post a shot here......I don't use flicker

    Gaffers tape is important too as it won't leave any residue behind when you take it off.
