    With the longer Shackle I did not want more then rested full droop 10 Degrees, this will allow for lateral movement and still be safe from mechanical impact with the frame.

    The longest distance the rear of the mounting plate will go is 1.75" from the center of the rear rivet hole.

    I'm still planning on taking your advice and going with the billy b110s or w/e but i've been starting to wonder about bilstein quality. theres like a half dozen local guys with blown out rear 5100s. Not saying they didn't do something stupid, but it makes me wonder.

    I know. the fact that you and Bob are using them and I see what you guys do with your trucks is what makes me think I should be alright. I was fine when I had 5110s, I just wanted to be a baller and upgrade.

    Idk why some people are having such an issue with blowing shocks

    Getting the rivets out has to be one of the hardest things i've done on my truck. the first side was over 3 hours to get 4 rivets out. I used a grinding wheel, sawzall, drills, drill bits, hammer, and a chisel.

    The second side I got smart and called my dad. He came over with an air chisel with a pencil point. I then used my cutting wheel to cut the head off the rivet, grind it smooth, then use the air chisel to pop the rivet through.

    I started out using the middle holes for mounting and middle holes for the shackle. It looked great until I let it sit on its own weight.

    I ended up having to move the hanger back (using the front hole) and using the furthest back hole for the shackle. So I'm as far back as I can go. I blame this on my leaf springs possibly being saggy, even though they are only a couple years old.

    I just bought an air hammer today specifically for this job. I've had the flip kit for about 2 months, and all I've done so far is paint it, I am so ready to install. Looking good Jlink :thumbsup:

    yea that will make your life so much easier. make sure you have a pencil point tip so you can just pop it in one spot instead of it walking around. and use hearing protection… i was lazy and now my ears are ringing so loud!
