Nice looking setup! I have the same color Tacoma and I'm on the fence whether to do the Graphite Gunmetal or Matte Bronze. These are the Graphite Gunmetal correct? Also, what size tires are you running and are you experiencing any tire rub?

I, too, was on the fence between those two colors. I ended up with GG because a local reseller bought these from Dustin for another customer. That customer backed out and I was there to pick them up after I put them up against the truck. I'm really happy I got these over bronze...looks very aggressive without being loud.

Tires are 265/75. Right front rubs on low angle and full lock right turn on the bumper cover. Left rubs on reverse, straight out; I just need to trim the inner part of the bumper cover on both sides....or have my Evan Walker suspension installed.

It's too cold for me to do either.

I plan on making flat TRD centercaps fit these wheels, but that too will be done once the weather starts warming up a little.

Sharp looking truck/rims. Thanks for sharing your information. I'm still on the fence! I really, really like the look of bronze. Would love to see it in that color combo.

I can't seem to find a photo of the BFDs on a dark blue truck in my collection of images, but here is one my customer's trucks with a very similar wheel that we offer in matte bronze on the same color of truck (should help for a color comparison):

Finally got some 32s on the truck. Gunmetal BFDs, 3" iShock MidTravel Coilovers, Firestone RideRite w/Daystar Cradles set at 10PSI. The 275/65/18 Duratrac's clear minus the front mudflaps. I just need to find where it rubs full lock while braking and reversing.

Did you ever get enough interest to offer these in a Mag blue type color?

Looks great Shaggs! Excellent setup, and thank you for posting your photos! I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying your new BFD wheels!

That tire size usually rubs on the inside corner of the mud flap. Perhaps you can coat it with some chalk, crank the wheel until the tire rubs the flap, and then see where the chalk was rubbed off.

How do you like the air springs? I haven't had an opportunity to test those out on a Tacoma before. I'm very interested in hearing how you like them.

    Hi CCWray,

So far I just get sporadic requests here and there. Since the interest in mag blue hasn't been particularly steady, we've just been having our professional powder coater make one off sets for our customers. We have a formulation for the color, so it's something that we can have done for anyone who requests it, and we can always get spares as well.

I did order a small production run of 16x8" Konig Countersteer Type X wheels in mag blue as a factory finish from Konig.

If we ever get enough customers interested in the FN Wheels BFDs in mag blue we can definitely get a factory production run done as well.

I have had the BFDs for over a year, probably almost 2 years now but finally threw bigger tires on.

The airbags are great with the daystar cradles for articulation. I regularly tow a Centurion Avelanche wakesurf boat, and it handles like a champ. It can lift the rear another 5-6 inches too, its nuts

Quick shot of my BFDs mounted yesterday. Originally, I was torn between these and the Pro Comp 7032s. Really happy I went with the BFDs!

Dustin was a pleasure to deal with. Easily the most helpful person I have ever come across in terms of service.

What tire size would I need on these in order to run them on a stock 2010 Tacoma TRD Sport with stock suspension?? I really like them but I don't want to put a lift on my truck.

That's right! Sorry I forgot to make the connection of your actual name with your screen name when I made that post. Looks great with the bigger tires now!

Glad to hear about airbags with Daystar cradles too. I might be considering this in the future.

Thank you for you the compliment! It was a pleasure dealing with you too! I'm also glad you chose the BFDs. Your truck looks awesome!

Agreed on the looks of his truck, and thank you for the compliment Iven!

There are two tire sizes that I've tested and found to work with stock suspension.

265/60R18 would be the ideal tire size to install on the BFDs if you plan to keep your truck's suspension stock. You won't have any issues with this size. The tire overall diameter is the same as the original tires that came with your truck.

If you want a tire that is slightly taller than the stock tires dimensions you can install 265/65R18s with stock suspension. However, you'll likely have a small amount of rubbing on the mud flaps and/or over fender / fender liner due to the taller than stock tire diameter.
