What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Just got in and installed my new UWS toolbox. Box is great, but the lock sucks. It came "jimmied" out of the box. I had to bend the opening just to get the key into the lock. It's anything but smooth operating. I've e-mailed UWS and hopefully they will just send me a replacement lock.

 

Or you could replace it with a Bolt latch kit and you can use your truck key for it.

5000 mile service today at 3773 miles. Switched to Mobile 1. Tires rotated and complimentary wash. Now off to the gun shop

Shit!!!!

 

Changed passenger front wheel bearing and cv axle. All new seals as well. I will certainly be ordering a complete bearing assembly from one of the guys on here that sales them ready to go for the other side (or this one if I screwed it up) thankful for all the useful information on here once again. Bought some new tools for the project and still was well below having someone do the job.

Changed front and rear diff fluid, along with the transfer case oil. Motor oil changed, tranny fluid changed while adding a tranny cooler. Rotated tires and changed air cleaner.

 

Added my Christmas present to my self today. LOVE them already!! Also pulled my engine cover to paint.

You can get -40F rated washer fluid in most nothern states and Canada. Toyota-branded washer fluid is also rated for that.

I'd hate to see what diesel looks like at -40F.

pfft it still flows at -40, we use winter diesel hahaha, its good to around -48 to pump freely, most of them have preheaters though tooo
