scoop hood value in trade for non-scoop?

    If I were going back to buy a new Tacoma, and was deciding to buy either a TRD sport with the scoop or a TRD off road with the locked, there is no doubt that I would buy a TRD offroad. I would much rather have a locker than have a scoop. The scoop isn't even real, it doesn't go through the hood.
    With that being said, I love the way the scoop looks. And since my truck is a TRD offroad, I have the locker, but I still wanted the scoop, so I got lucky and found a good deal.

    Ther are times when I wish I didn't have the scoop.

    The sun glare is annoying from the scoop's curves.

    Kinda.

    It's not functional. The plastic insert is solid.
    The air intake is from the fender.

    Even if the scoop were open, it is in a low pressure zone and would provide no ram effect.
