Did a marathon crossing of the US (WA to RI), back to Rhode Island for the holidays.. 26 hours straight from St. Paul to RI..

RTT'd it one night in Miles City, MT - Wal-Mart Parking lot.. Got down to -5 that night.

Going to take more photos on the return trip, going to have some time to mess around.

What size is the piping? Wish I still worked as an industrial electricians I had benders that could bend up to 4" plastibond pipe, and could have bent all the stuff up. It would be cool to have a rack make of rigid 1.5" conduit.

I used 1.5" HREW Tube.. guess you could use Sched. 40 pipe; although you'd gain a fair amount of weight.

A tubing bender is definitely on my wish list - would really open up my fabrication options!

This what we used, you could change the shoes down to 3/4" up to 1.5" the 2&3"

I got pretty good in bending conduit. I was actually brought onto one job to bring all the conduits into a huge 4160v panel. Had 15 just in the top of it all without couplings.

2 days later we were wiring it up a guy hit the live bus. When we pulled him out his knees, palms and toes were gone

    Fuck..

I have to work with 220V on a regular basis; motors/softstarts/frequency drives..

I'm lucky in that I never have to work in close proximity to a live circuit; everything is de-energized.

he lived but it was bad, i've worked upto 13kv. If you can just keep it from crossing your heart you have a chance of living.

So where is good place to find a decent used RTT?

Thought about getting one of the military trailer tents. A guy local got one surplus and the metal frame and canvas was like brand new. The trailer had new 37" mud tires on it too.

I don't know. I mean I compared the two and tepui is a lil more expensive if I'm not mistaken. But there are cheaper companies

I'll probably by a rack and then start looking for a tent, right now I can't get my wife to sleep in a regular tent. I've been looking at R.pods also to get her more into it.

She's a keeper though, she's suffered through Memorial Day camping trips. The cold showers and non flushing toilets is what she hates. I'm a back packer and that's a 110% not going to happen with her.

Scored a (opened) once ARB Simpson III for less than half of new retail.. I'm really impressed with it this far. It's a huge plus for me that ARB USA is only an hour away..
