I had the kenwood 138 it sucked the volume knob double as an EQ setter, its very sensitive so a slight tap and your adjusting The eq. I gave it to a friend and got a Sony CDX GT620ip It also has an Ipod hook up and a remote. the remote is great for using while driving so you dont have to reach foward to change tracks, station and volume

Can't comment on those specifically, but I've always had good luck with Pioneer. Also Alpines have always treated me well. Never had a Kenwood.

I recently installed the Pioneer deh-p3100 and love it compared to factory. It took a little time to figure out the programming and such but I think it is a great unit.

For the assumed budget (based on the items posted) I believe you made a fine choice. Never had any real issues with Pioneer HU's. I used to prefer Kenwood stuff, but the last 4 HU's I've had were all Pioneers and I see no reason to switch that streak at this point (unless I went to a DVD Nav system).

you will love your new setup, When I worked at circuit city we put a pioneer HU and a set of the infinity speakers in a single cab ranger and it rocked.
