Next week at this time I'll be on a boat (Carnival Cruise Line) and headed to Key West FL, Nassau & Freeport Bahamas...

This will be my first time cruising, so I was hoping for those who have been on them before, particularly Carnival, if there are any helpful hints, suggestions, comments, to make the trip more enjoyable...FWIW I will be going with the girlfriend..

We already booked an excursion for Nassau (Atlantis Water Park), the other two locations are still up in the air as far as what we want to do..

Never been but hopefully next year, keep us posted.

Side note, if the ship break down and the plumbing doesnt work, why dont people just crap over the side into the ocean, instead of in a bucket like what happened on the other ship?

Key West is a "colorful" place  (and a lot of fun)

And the owner of Carnival Cruise lines is the wealthiest person in Florida, quite sure he appreciates your business :D

Lol, anything in particular worth seeing at Key West? The girlfriend wants to go on a bar crawl excursion that they offer.

I've been on 7 cruises, 3 times to Bahamas and key west. Butterfly conservatory in the keys is always fun. I'd stay away from the straw market in Nassau. They are brutal in there. Take plenty of small bills and offer half of the quoted price if you go in. Bahama divers is a good scuba/snorkel company and is close to the bridge going over to Atlantis. Fun day trip. Also good cigar shop right before straw market in a little alley way. Cubans are priced right. I am a platinum Royal Caribbean guy though, never done carnival.

    Enjoy the trip
