    Yep, this is very important. I had mine replaced about a month ago & watched the guy do it... 3/4 of the time it took to complete the job was spent on removing all of the old seals. It looked like it was never ending when he was pulling off all of the seals. He spent a lot of time scraping/cleaning the surface too. Also, he recommended I let it sit for at least 24 hours before I drove it. I think I left it there untouched for a little over 40 hrs. to be on the safe side. I guess I got lucky with a guy that new what he was doing. Think the company's name was: "All Clear Glass." I didn't deal with the insurance company. Paid the guy $257
