Anderson didn't start his antics till about a minute left in that round; otherwise, it was a pretty active (and Weidman dominanting) one
Weidman said that inbetween rounds he doesn't remember a thing his corner said, cause he was trying to concentrate on his breathing (I'm aware you can concentrate on your breathing without being tired)

I thought he looked tired... and I got worried the first couple seconds of round 2... maybe I'm wrong
Adrelaine dumps don't require you to push yourself to the max nor have bad cardio
Either way he smashed Silva; and either way I still say he works on his cardio (that's hardly ever bad advice. haha)
And either way; this is most stupid-happy I've been after a fight in my history of watching MMA

Silva won't make a title run at 205 cause machida is his best friend

I think, in MMA (given both fighters are proficient and talented in what they do) it's not always so much about who's the "better fighter" as it is about who's skill-set trumps the others

It's almost like trying to say that a Knight is better than a Bishop (chess)
They have a different technique; and given a particular situation, one will kill the other; not because it's better, but because it's style trumped the other's

What I'm getting at is that I think Anderson may very well be a more gifted/talented athlete than Weidman; but, his Achilles Heel happens to be (or seems to be) Wrestlers -
    Before this, Hendo and Sonnen were the only ones that really gave Anderson a problem;
I think the main problem with Sonnen was that they quite obviously pack his gloves with feathers and teddy-bears before his fights, whereas Weidman has KO power (so does Hendo, by the way)

Also, unlike Hendo and Sonnen, Weidman is fairly proficient in jiu-jitsu; he's obviously world-class at taking and keeping people down
Combine that with the ability to throw someone in a heel-hook while he's got you down there (we know that's a possibility, huh?), and I think he's got the exact tools needed to beat Anderson (again)

I'm apt to favor Weidman in the rematch; not cause I think he's a "better fighter"; but, because I think his particular skill-set trumps Anderson's particular skill-set
Having said that though, I won't take it away from Anderson that he's capable of sending any human-being on the planet into unconciousness at any given moment
    Should be a good fight!

I've been using the chess analogy for years to explain MMA, most people do think the bigger the better. I feel it's mind over matter, if you don't have the mind you won't matter!

I'm looking forward to this fight as well. wondering if we will see the old version of silva come out and dominate or not.

As for rousy vs tate, i respect bjj/wrestling, but i find it extremely annoying that all Rousy does is go for an armbar in every single fight. literally that's her entire game plan.

eeh, i understand what you mean with Rousey; but, i find it equally incredible that everyone knows exactly what she's going after and probably spends nearly all their time training for it and still can't stop it

i find her very annoying, but it has nothing to do with the armbar. hahaha. but, my opinion of her, strictly as a fighter, is that she's pretty awesome. i don't see her getting beat any time soon
i don't think anyone has the skill to keep her standing and i don't think anyone has the skill to outclass her on the ground... ... maybe Mcmann
since female fighters TYPICALLY don't have KO power, i think the chances of seeing someone just flash KO her is a lot slimmer than with the dudes

Sara Mcmann is my personal favorite female fighter (since Gina is gone. ha!). i'd love to see her and Rousey fight; but, i'd probably still bet on Rousey

Yeah, I just got done watching it live

I was rooting for Weidman and went absolutely crazy when he dropped him in the first and started raining down on him... Silva's got some chin and defense to have survived that

Hate to see how it ended happen to anyone, though

It was fine at regular speed. When they showed it in slo-mo, it was gruesome.

All in all I'm happy since I dislike Silva. This could be a career-ending injury. I'd be OK with that.

mothafucka scratched his kneecap with his toe nails! weidman owned him that 1st round, too bad he had to win like this. unfortunately, haters will still not give weidman props.

this is what's gonna be unfortunate
it will absolutely happen like this:
all the same people who said the first time was a fluke and Anderson would have won if he wasn't clowning are going to be saying:

"... ... Anderson would have won if he didn't break his shin!"

Anderson has been my least favorite fighter since that Maia fight
And I've been waiting for him to get his clock cleaned for YEARS

But, I still hate to see that happen to someone

I think he'd be wise to hang-up his gloves; although, before the Weidman fight, he signed a 10 fight contract... so, it'd involve politics
dude has 8 fights left... he's gonna end up really marring his career
I wish Fedor would have stopped after his first loss, like he said he was going to
Wish Cro Cop would have stopped like 8 years ago. haha

    Bingo

Weidman is no freaking joke, my gosh
I actually wasn't familiar with him before Silva 1
    I really like him
They better give Vitor a shot now: for gosh sakes, he's been seperating everyone in the division from their consciousness, in spectacular fashion, for the past 2 years

i sure hope hes next. i had no clue who weidman was. i saw his previous fights on youtube prior to the weidman v silva 1 and was like "silva is gonna demolish this kid." then you see his slowness is his strength. hes just methodical and technical. doesnt lose his cool. something very important when fighting silva.
