Wife's uncle is talking major shit...

So this has absolutely nothing to do with my truck. My wife's uncle has been talking major shit to her online, saying she's trash, a whore, fat, that I am cheating on her, blah blah blah. He is doing this over facebook and wont let up. Now, first thought is ok, go whoop his ass. However, honest assessment says i would get my ass beat, so that option is out. I also know the best option is to just ignore, block and not acknowledge anything he says, but my wife is still upset by all of it.

This guy is just an ass, and i want to have some revenge. Ideas?

Not much you can do legally.
Maybe a restraining order, but it might be hard to get in your county unless he's made physical threats.

Anything you do TO him could get you popped with felony charges.
Felony = no guns for life.

It's her uncle... can her father handle matters? Or is it a "step-uncle" and not blood related?

I'm interested to know what would motivate someone to talk about their niece that way.
