Burg, any detail clay will do. The kit is the only thing that you'll find in stores though. Kinda a ripoff IMO.

You could buy 200g of Megs professional clay for $20, or buy the kit which has 100g and some other crap like quick detail, liquid wax, and a mf towel.

I say crap because I don't use QD when I clay. I just add a little bit more soap in my wash bucket and just use the soap as lube. Plus you should already have wax and a mf towel. Then only stuff I used in those clay kits was the clay and mf towel.

Use your wash mitt to clean panel, clay area you just went over, and use wash mitt again.

that was my concern with 28v thats why the lithium ion is cool smaller lighter batteries that work longer

Because 200g for $20 is better than 200g and extra crap for $40?

I'd cut the 200g bar up into 4 pieces. Put 3 back in the jar it came in, and put the other 50 in a lil box that I got with the Megs kit.

As to why I don't use QD, I just find it simpler to clay while I'm washing.

Plus when I tried using QD it left all kinda shit on my paint :anonymous:

    Paint Cleaning Clay Pad
Now You Can Clean Paint Without Polishing And In A Fraction Of The Time With Our Paint Cleaning Clay Holder
Now you can use our Paint Cleaning Clay and your orbital to get professional results with less time and effort! The 6" hook and loop backed foam pad has a built-in holder for the clay. Simply flatten out the clay bar, place it in the holder, spray the pad, clay, and the area to be cleaned with Speed Shine®, and achieve better results and remove more contaminants in half the time! (Plus have fun doing it.) Regardless of how clean you think your paint is, there are still contaminants stuck on the paint that you need to remove before waxing or polishing your paint. Paint Cleaning Clay leaves behind an ultra-smooth surface that will make your wax adhere better and last longer too. It also makes the wax much easier to remove, reducing your "elbow grease" substantially. I recommend using our multi-speed orbital machine as a reduced speed is required for proper use. Follow up with Best of Show Wax® and your paint will look stunning! Made in the U.S.A. May also be used for hand polishing.
