I used 14 Gauge steel, durable enough to hold the weight. I added the bottom pole to help with the weight cause I over kill stuff. 14 gauge is nice cause i just use a hammer and edge of table to make the bend.

    +1

That's how wiring should be done.
Way too many hack jobs out there, and it makes it impossible to troubleshoot, especially when it's the 2nd owner with the problem.

I hate chrome so today I'm painting my grille. Looks good so far, but the black looks a little off. Theres a bit of metallic in the dupli color when my truck doesnt have any. Thats ok though, much nicer then plasti dip.

A also debadged to paint them to match aswell but I think I like them off. Will paint them with the leftover paint just in case that looks awesome lol

This pic was after 4th coat of paint. Just waiting 30min before I start the clear. Will post clear completed pictures on here somewhere when I get some

If you take your time with Plastidip and do it right, it turns out just fine. I just painted my chrome grille surround with Plastidip and it looks good. I did about 5 or 6 coats and the finish is even and looks like a satin or semi-gloss paint. It's all in prep work and being patient with how Plastidip goes on. Plus, it can be peeled off if desired.
