It is popular as it's very affordable and works great with supporting bumpers/winch/skids/dual batteries. I have all those and doing great.

But CV angles for the boots is the main concern. The boot slide mode is a nice precaution. But really not much else. If the lift is too high your upper and lower ball joints can have premature wear and you alignment can be out if spec without new UCAs. But 95-97s seem to take the higher lift better then other years..

The advantage of the doff drop is to help with vibrations that result from the boot fins touching. Unfortunately, the diff drop does not change the axle angles very much. So if your fins are just barely touching, a diff drop may lower the axles angle enough to eliminate the vib.

This is a fairly big "if" when your talking about the Eibach coils because of the amount of lift they give. The boots fail because the fins touch, and rub through.

Very likely on a boot. Within 3-10k depending on usage.

Upper BJ usually okay for longer.

Bit you will need weight on it at some point.

    Or get an adjustable co.

Go out and look at your boots now. I bet if you look and touch them you'll see grooves forming. Will eat through eventually.

A real CO will let you lower the lift to 2.5-2.75 or less to stop that.

Or swap boots for 930 boots.

Do the 930 boots really work and take the wear? Why doesn't everyone switch to them??

5100's/ eibachs with all pro standard rear springs. Need to get my ass in gear and get my skids, bumper and sliders on to drop the front down some.

    correct.

yes its what Long travel guys swap the Tundra axle boots too. They work. Why doesn't everyone? its a major PITA. you have to disassemble the entire CV to get the new boots on. then repack with grease. then reassemble.

Looks good! When did you install the lift because it will sit just a bit lower once it fully settles in the upcoming weeks.

It's been about a month, but I bought it used with about 5000 miles or so on it from a local member. I didn't measure, but it's pretty high in the front. I only have a 4cyl, so there's a few hundred less pounds compared to the 6cyl up front. Probably close to 3.5-3.75" if I had to guess. Bumper, full set of skids, and sliders should bring it down some.

Passenger inner cv boot is already slinging grease. Not ripped/ cracked, just pulled off of the mounting groove on the shaft. That will have to wait until it warms up unless I get really motivated.
