I'm looking for suggestions for a new program to follow. Just finished Kris Gethin's 12 week plan and am happy with the results. I didn't follow it 100% to the mark but I don't want/need to. I'm mainly looking for a plan that maps out some workouts to keep things fresh and not get monotonous.

A little background. I just turned 44 have always been athletic but from age 30 to age 41 I didn't do much. haha Jan 2011 I started running on the treadmill, at that time I was pushing 200 pounds(I'm 5'-10") and by November I ran a 19:41 5K. I spent most of 2011 and 2012 running, biking and swimming. I ran a few sprint triathlons and lots of running events that culminated with my first marathon Nov 2012. I did it in 3 hours 50 minutes(I did a go big or go home plan where I crammed and only did half the training I should have and instead of running 8:00 miles the entire time I ran 7:30's from mile 10 to mile 19...then I paid the piper hahaha).

I got very lean, down to 168 at one point. Then at the beginning of this year(2013) I cut back on the running and biking and hit the weights. Now I'm between 180 and 185 with 17% BF(measured with handheld thingy). 32" waist and arms a little over 16".

I'd like to maintain the muscle I have now and maybe cut into the fat a little more. I'd like something to maintain strength but incorporate cardio. So about a 50/50 mix but again I don't want to lose the muscle I just put on. Not that it was that much but I definitely notice a difference. I still plan on running and biking at least twice per week, but that's on top of the 3 or 4 mornings at the gym.

I miss the running and when the weather breaks I hope to get back to more of it.....when your fast it's hard not to want to go to races and beat everyone in your age group plus a lot of the younger guys. lol But it's also nice to be 180 pounds with a 32" waist and 16" arms at 44 years old.

I was looking on BB.com at Cory Gregory's 21 Day Bizzy plan.

Note: I don't and won't do supplements. I do protein powder in water immediately after I workout and for the most part I eat lean. My main goal is to be in decent shape and be able to eat junk once per week and burn off beer and wine and still look and feel good. hahah

I did the Bizzy plan and didn't like it. I'm not into the full body workout crap. I like split workouts: back/bi's, chest/tri's, legs, and shoulder days. Look at 'Doug's 4 day split' or the '4 day power muscle burn workout.' Pretty much, to preserve muscle and lose fat, you need to lift heavy and not do too much cardio. Also, eat low carbs. Diet is 90% of fat loss and muscle preservation and the other 10% is lifting heavy. That's my 2 cents, anyway.

I didnt mean it in a bad way, more of a compliment that you would be one of the most knowledgeable on the different workout plans
