    Nice! I got a new Blackout for Christmas. Love these knives, had a Whirlwind a few years back and gave it to my dad.

    This new one has the Sandvik 14C28N blade w/ DLC coating.

    I'm not a knife guru by any stretch, but I've had a few nice (cheap) knives: Boker Gemini Police model, Cold Steel Recon1 (old style), S&W SWAT, CRKT M16, CRKT K.I.S.S, Kershaw Whirlwind, Gerber AR3.00, and now the Blackout. Wouldn't mind a ZT, Spyderco, or BM but I can't spend that much on a knife.

    The Scallions are nice, but I like a good tactical/EDC combo.

    If you're a Kershaw fan, check out Kershawguy.com. He goes to the "Blemish" sales every year, and can get some crazy good deals. He can also get deals on ZT and Spyderco sometimes.
