I've been looking, but found nothing. Someone should make a bolt in tray system for that back wall, with a layer of sound dampening too. 1-2 different bottom tray depths, depending on how far back u slide the seat, and maybe 4-6 more trays higher up. Our old dodges at work have a similar system, so its not a new idea. I searched the web, but that doesnt mean i missed something.....

A sheet metal shop should be able to bend something up from aluminum and get it covered with bed-liner. I'd be happy at this point if Toyota had put the jack and stuff somewhere else. There's actually a lot of room back there.

Man, I'd be interested in something like that too for my reg. cab. I think the reason you're having trouble finding anything is because so few people buy regular cabs anymore. Not much of a market for that product. Be sure to post up here if you find anything though. As for the jack & stuff... where else could they put it?

By the way... it was pathetically cheap of Toyota to skip the trim panel (and sound deadener!) on the rear wall of the cab. Even my '78 Datsun had that!

I figured it would require some dremel tooling ofr the jack, be in 1-3 pieces to fit around the belts, cabelas or jc whitney could sell it for $150 if it was decent quality

I should invent the regular cab back wall mod. If I pillage a D.C., it might work:notsure:

You said you had the TSB done on your truck plus they installed a sound deadner package. Was this an 09 specific TSB or ???

I was going to order some RAAMAT sound deadner for it but if there is a factory fix for it then I will pursue that route. I would love to find an organizer or something for behind the seat.

The wheels were replaced with 18" X-Runner rims just today.

I just got them on today and haven't had a chance to take a picture of them. I will do it first thing in the morning. If I had a sheet of the thick plastic they use I could probably work something out. I just dont have the time or space right now.

I am really interested in that added insulation.

If you dont mind me asking what is fatmax?

I see. I talked to the guy at Raamat (follow the link through the forum) he priced me a really great price to do the entire interior of the truck. It was going to cost like $250. I am also going to put more sound deadning on the firewall but havent figured out the logistics of it yet.

The XRunner rim is 18 x 9.5 and has an off set the sets the edge of the tire even with the body. The tire that is recommended for it is a 255/40/18 and that is what I used. I also did not use the TPS's since the truck didn't have them when I bought it.

I got the rims from an Xrunner guy in Houston for a really good price.

Thanks, I have a chrome grill and a chrome rear bumper that I put on it. I didnt like having all the different shades of black on it. I just ordered a new primered front bumper for it that I am going to paint BSP along with the mirrors.

I was thinking of a taller one but I had to get what I could so that I can sell the old tires and rims so that I can get the tires that I want.

I just wish that guy would post info on that TSB he got and the additional insulation. Free is better then anything.

I remember reading somewhere on here about a TSB related to rear-end/differential noise in some trucks. Toyota's "fix" was to install that sound insulation.

    <EDIT> Yep... that's the one epa4wd.

Well it is worth a shot to take it in. I spend alot of money at my local Toyota dealer so they are really cool about working on my truck and usually give me a discount on stuff.

No, it was not 09 specific, in fact the TSB paperwork states 2005-08. My truck was built 6/08 and I assume the problem existed on early 09's also. The warranty info states "Install Rear Floor Silencer Pad & Sheet" & "R & R Rear Differential". The extra insulation is on the floor, not up the back of cab wall.
