Good call! You better get it while you can....

I am going to post a thread asking what folks are going to get when our 1st Gens go the way of the dinosaurs & what folks would be willing to pay for a 1st Gen 5-10yrs from now????

Been driving tacomas before i realized, i loved em! Had 6 so far, three 4CYL till my o3 prerunner, now it is V6 FTW!!!!...I recall when the 01-04 came out with the new oval front end, i did not like it at all! But now, Shoot i think they may be the best looking, perfect truck for DD, home owners, small business & preppers... LOL!!! They are just the right size...
I have had the long bed too...... I had a 2010 Sold it to get this one! 03 w/ 170,000... Sold this to get the 2010, wish i never did but when i started looking for another 1st Gen, i wanted a 4 door this time....Blessed to find this one! I looked long, hard and got lied to often!

Very nice! Im not gonna lie, I do like me a second gen. But I do NOT see myself getting rid of my first gen to pick one up...maybe down the line I will pick one up as a 2nd truck. But this one is staying with me.

    Heres the pre-runner

I can't answer the question, but it would be a good idea to strengthen the front mount also.

You should be able to reuse those bolts.

However, it wouldn't be a bad idea to reinforce the stock endplates anyway. The stock ones are a joke
