    G day,

    2014 Tacoma access cab.

I have just installed the factory fog lights without any problems. I also installed a set of PIAA Driving lights and they too work well. The only problem I have is I installed a after market switch (Which I cannot change because I filed out the dash a little) to make it fit. The switch has two Led's. One of these LED's comes on to light up the switch when the high beam is on and the other comes on when I turn on the PIAA lights and is powered by the High Beam Wire just as the Fogs are powered by the Low Beam wire. The led's are too bright. I think but need some guidance here, The Led that lights up the switch may be able to be dimed by placing a resistor before the connection to the terminal that lights up the switch. When the PIAA lights are on, the second led lights and is powered (Jumped from the wire that sends the voltage to the relay to switch on the PIAA lights. Now if I place a resistor on that circuit will the relay still work or will there not be enough current or voltage.

I hope this makes sence and I would appreciate any idea's.

    Thanks

Can you get a similar switch in red or something? Red doesn't bother your eyes as much. Or swap the switch out completely.

    Pics please!

I went with this OEM switch for my fogs. It's an older one that Toyota used to use for various models. Had to file the opening just a little. The Orange LED is not very bright and comes on when the switch does.

Paid about $10 for it. Part # 00550-35976

No..it's not bright at all. You will need to file the opening a bit to make the switch fit. No big deal and doesn't take much to open it up. File a bit and test fit a few times.

In fact, I just ordered a second one. I'm going to use it for my bedlights that I'm going to install.

There are 3 connections on the switch.

#2 (+) power source (from battery, fuse panel, etc.)

#3 (+) to the accessory (lights, relay, etc.)

    #4 (-) ground

You can always hook the LEDs in the lighted switch up to the dimmer circuit for your interior lights. Just search on here for flyzeye LED interior lights wiring. Two wires behind the heat/AC panel. I did this with a OTRATTW fog light switch
