I'd like to do Black Bear Pass, though it sounds slightly terrifying.

 

I'd be down for a road trip.. Where is that trail at?

The one thing I read said only one guy had died but there are more I just found.

I remember seeing something over there but I didn't have my binocs handy and we were moving so didn't realize at the time it was a jeep.

There's a 4runner that fell off the side of Lions Back and got wedged in the rocks. I'm not sure if it's still there but it killed like 4 girls and it was there for years and totally stripped.

Also the kid in the Jeep that fell off Gemini Bridges...his Jeep was stuck there for a while since it fell onto a ledge. I saw a picture of it a long time ago but never saw it in person. Can't seem to find that picture now. I think they eventually got it out.

I should have kept that license plate and bracket I found on Kane Creek buried in the dirt. See if it belonged to one of these guys,

 

Do the owners strip these? Or just people passing by?

 

Actually I just did some more research and it was a guy driving with two girl passengers and a guy outside spotting. Lots of injuries but they survived.

The people who fell off on the other side on the other hand, no chance.

I don't know how people had the guts to drive up it. Back when it was open we walked up it, only made it halfway and it was terrifying. Didn't help that it was windy.

I can't remember the story of the other people, but they fell off the left side at the top to their deaths. There's a memorial at the bottom.


I was just talking to my dad about it and I think we were actually at that EJS that the 4Runner rolled off. We just weren't over there.
