NEED HELP WITH REAR SHOCKS

    SO its 910 pm and I'm freezing my ass off and i bought extended bilstein shocks and i can't seem to fit the bushings in the shock mount will i be ok to just put my tires on and just park it in the drive way so i can close my garage???

    Mine were really hard to get on also, i put a little grease on the mount and inside the bushing and used a mallet

    I just installed some in my truck. Grease the bushing and the mount. Compress the piston and position it over the mount. Let it go and let the shock do the work for you. Watch it closely and as it lines itself up, quickly slide the bolt through. Works like a charm...or did for me anyway.

    Front lift, ride rite air bags, side steps, rear camera switch.
    What part number did you all got? I got the ones for a 3-4" lift and they went in perfectly without having to open the mount. I used a bottle jack to compress the bottom of the shock, then with a rigged crow bar, I put the tip inside the mount well, and let the shock slide down on the crowbar into position.

    I got the "24-214667" for 2" of lift……but the bushings are fat ass hell lol….anyways i ended parking it and tomorrow ill try the jack screw method….downsouth also sent me bushings that are too big for the rear top shock mount as well…i can't even screw the top nut on …would it be ok to go to the dealership and use OEM bushings on 5100's???

    what size bolt did you guys use for the jack screw method?
    and where can i pick one up?

    I ended up going to lowes and a retired Air Force guy new exactly I was talking bout and helped me out...rear shocks are in..now all I gotta do is get this nut in the frame fixed so I can place the sway bar back on....thank you tacomaworld!!!
