Had a productive 4 day holiday weekend. With the help of NJ636, I was able to install the D6XL AAL and 4Crawler axle relocation plates. We also installed a set of 4x sliders on his lil'Ginger dub cab. Kind of a mini mod day.

I'm extremely happy with the way it all turned out. I should have bought the Dakar pack with the AAL already installed. But hindsight is 20/20.

Like others have already said, Dakar should be sold with relo plates for all 1st gen applications.

I also got some great advice from Matt (GreenChiliTaco) who recently installed the relo plates.

looking good Woody. for the relo plates its just that little peice of steel under the springs or what? aqnd how does it relocate the axle. been thinking about doing that but its probabaly a PITA how things goes.

It move the leaf pack by redeposition the center pin. From what I see, its only needed after installing Dakars. Dakars move the axle ahead a bit. Now when my back tires stuff, It should be more centered.

We installed them the same time as I added an AAL, so the whole install was a PITA. But if I just had to do the relo plates, prob not too bad.

if i decide to do it i hope it aint a PITA and i hve someone to help me too. the time i took the truck through the richlands up here i was rubbing bad in the rear enough for a guy to radio on the cb wondering who it was. it even bent a little of the bed put i bent it back in place. so i may need to get some of them.

My axle didn't seem to move forward with dakars and AAL. Or it doesn't seem to be anyway. I'm wondering if I could add another leaf in the pack even with the AAL already there. I must have pushed them to their limit this summer because I have a bro lean and they are only 6 months old.

Yeah that's what I'm going to do first. Debating which length to choose. I'll decide after I install my bumper to see how the front sits.

With some help from a good friend...The install went smooth! I just took a load of "stuff" from all around my property to the township yard. I didn't take any pictures, but Im sure I had a heavy load on it. Couldnt even tell.

Now I just have to get out and play in the woods a bit.

    Thanks for the good words!
