    Finished up the Dual Battery System after waiting seven weeks for a Columbia Overland Dual Battery Tray. Used a National Luna Isolator with their controller.

    Isolator is mounted on the passenger side with the wires going under the fan/radiator shroud.

    Battery tray holding down two Die Hard Platinum Group 35 batteries. The fit was snug but not too tight.

    Auxiliary battery has all of the accessories plugged into it. The winch also runs off of the auxiliary battery. With the National Luna controller, you can switch to the auxiliary battery to get more juice out of it when winching. Works very well when I turn on the ARB compressor too.

    Got them at Lowes. They are actually the bottoms of chairs to prevent them from scratching up the floor. Got that idea from barlowrs.

    how much room do you have behind your headlight? with the HIDs i'm wondering if i'll be able to squeeze in two batteries on that side or if i'm stuck having to run batteries on both sides...

    looks good tho..seeing all the wires is making my head :violent: thinking about the wiring that lays ahead of me...

    There is only about a 1/4" of room behind the headlight. The wiring took up the most time for this. I still want to clean up the wiring and protect them by putting on some braided sleeving.

    damn...i was afraid of that...

    i saw those braided sleevings in the dual battery thread...looks like a nice peace of mind item when you get the layout finalized. especially when you have wires going over and through so many different places

    Looks great Dean, as always.
    Who did the wires with connectors? Did you have them done at a place like West Marine or do you have the ability to do those yourself? They look very clean and I would like to clean some of mine up and also relocate my winch solenoid at the same time.

    The winch, isolator and fuse box wiring I did at West Marine. The compressor and inverter were done by local shops. I just noticed that the compressor and inverter wiring didn't have shrink wrap on the ends so I fixed that up today. I threw some screw protector caps over the exposed battery tie down screws as well.

    West Marine will have everything you need to get the job done there.

    Hey I was curious about the way you have the AC power coming out of the center console. Where do you have the inverter installed and which one did you go with? Eventually I want to run 2x batteries like you have and an inverter as well, I'm just trying to figure out everything I need.
    Love the truck by the way, it looks great.

    is there much benefit to running the winch off of the aux and not the main battery?

    I have the IBS system and running the winch to the main battery..

    NICE! I am running the same setup. I love mine! The only thing I am not a fan of is that the batteries are touching my DS headlight connection. Is your touching or is it a hair away?

    I would like to keep my main battery as just a starting battery. I don't think it would hurt running the winch off the main battery though.

    My battery is about a 1/4" off the back of the headlight.

    Hmmm I wonder if the ATO battery tray sits a bit further back? I'm in the same boat as Slim and NYCO and have the big HID connectors on the back of my headlights.
