Same thing happened to me, but towards my rear end twisting the whole rear axle out of place. No frame damage though and about $15k worth of repair. The asshole didn't have insurance either so my insurance Geico paid for all the repairs, and i just received a letter from them the other day saying if i want to renew with them when my policy is up in May it will be an additional $800 a year.

How someone without insurance doing that to you not equalling physical assault during a robbery is beyond me. Dude stole your truck, jacked up your rates, plus any injuries and time lost from work and copayments out of your pocket and on and on. I mean just look at all the time and money wasted by someone elses negligence and intentional law breaking on several levels. But you'd be the bad guy for taking it out of his hide on the spot. FUBOS. Adrenaline fueled beatdown is an involuntary response to that sort of thing....he tried to run officer. I stopped him.

Man that sucks about all the crap that happens like this. Yes i think he is going to get another one.. He had a 2010 with a spacer lift crewcab totaled it on his fault and only had 18k miles about a year ago. This one only had 13k miles. So no telling what his father will do. He is only 18 with insurance being more than the truck note every month before this last wreck.

I did the lower valence to my 2012 in August, and still looks great. The plastidip sticks to the 2012+ lower valence pretty good due to the semi-rough plastic used.

Ask him if he wants to sell the lift... I assume it's still in the box(es) ?

uh mmmmm...Guys, this thread is 9 mos old but although an update of plastidip at 9 mos would be appropriate and answer some of the posters Q's on long term durability on plastidip.

I just did the emblem and grille surround on my 2013. I have 700 miles on it in the past 2 days. Looks good so far. I'll be able to give a high mileage review in a few months.

Well if you would read the thread you would know the truck is wrecked. Therefore "appropriate" update wouldn't work due to the truck being totaled less than 9hrs after we plasti dipped it.
