Well F150 and a Taco is apples to oranges. I love the taco because it will go where the F150 won't, I love the F150 because .. my god it has some balls when you step on it, can tow a 10k lb trailer and you won't feel it behind you, tons and tons and tons ... and tons of room. Not trying to start a "this truck is better because of xxxx", we all know how that will end up

Best of luck in your sale, what will you get next?

i agree...I drove my dad's silverado this weekend with a trailer behind it. It had tons of power and lots of room, which I agree the Tacoma seriously lacks.

My wife and I both have 4runners now. The extra interior space was needed for baby equipment and dog hauling capabilites.

I really don't know why Toyota doesn't sell these kits as TRD upgrades...I would buy a kit if it was, and always would be available and supported!

My 2013 Baja AC sits level when unloaded, but sags when you put anything significant in the back. I've looked into the Firestone airbags, and now I'm also thinking about adding the AAL that littleblue81 and several others referred to. Can someone confirm that it's the Icon 51100?

    http://iconvehicledynamics.com/shop/individual-accessories-components/34-1996-current-tacoma-2000-2006-tundra-15-lift-rear-expansion-pack.html

Also, I have the 4-leaf pack from the factory (3 main and 1 overload leaf). The Icon has three leafs. If I removed my overload leaf and added the Icon unit, that would give me 6. The pictures of littleblue81’s set up from the "Official" Firestone RideRite + Lift Thread shows a total of 5 leafs after adding the Icon AAL. I really like the stance on littleblue81’s rig and want to reproduce it, but want to make sure I’m not going to end up with something much higher in the back. What am I missing?

Regarding the Baja suspension overall, I love it. If the ride is too bumpy all I need to do is speed up.

Don't think you are missing anything but not 100% positive. Very interested in how yours turns out and what you end up with. With ARE MX topper and sliders all I have to do is look at her hard and instant saggy ass. I'm thinking of doing a complete leaf pack replacement. Have yet to build my sleeping platform with slide outs in the bed and I need to do something about the rear leafs before I do. And don't want to go over 1.5-2 inches max either like you.

I hear you about hitting the skinny pedal to smooth out the ride. 2 minutes into my test drive I was on a rough dirt washboard road and had a huge combine coming at me from the other direction with no place for either of us to pull over. I had already figured out above 45 it was much better handling so went flying by him but in total control. Didn't even bother going out to the highway for a test, I took it back to the dealer and bought it. Love it, best handling truck I have ever owned. Except for the weak rear leafs which is common on more than just Tacomas.

I believe that is the same leaf spring kit that I purchased. I did remove the overload as instructed, not needed since I have the bags and I wanted the ride to be as "supple" as possible.

So what did your truck come with from the factory? 2 or 3-leaf pack plus overload?

Yeah, I've been hauling an apx 3900 lb trailer around and the rear sags pretty good even with the Equalizer WDH. The rear springs are good for articulation, but no good for towing. I'm looking at the littleblue route also.

I haven't noticed too much bottoming out, though. The rear shocks are pretty stiff compression so that prolly helps keep it off the bump stops.

Okay, mine too. So can you help clear up some confusion I'm having? I really want to get the same stance that you have - love it, and think it will look right on my 2013 Baja instead of dead level. The pic is from your "official" RideRite thread and shows your springs after you added the ALL. I count five total leafs, so did you remove 2 leafs what adding the ALL?

I am confused now. LOL. Unfortunately I had someone install everything and I guess I was so preoccupied at the time with the bags and spacer that I didn't pay attention to the number of leafs. I sold the stock leafs he took off but I can't remember how many there were...I supposed we'd have to assume that he kept 2...
