Built on a truck frame that's more solid than yours, fully boxed.

And it's Swagger Wagon to you!

Past experience with fully boxed frames tells me otherwise (Three Nissans and a '99 Tacoma). They tend to let salt and dirt accumulate, and then surprise you with a hole or a weak point. Stronger from the factory, yes. Stronger after 10 years in the Northeast? Unlikely.

I kinda like Jackedwagen. Should we put it to a vote?:D

I really love how manufacturers are jumping on the 'fully boxed' bandwagon. Looks great on paper but the shape of the steel is only a portion of what makes a frame strong and rigid and having some flex in the frame isn't necessarily a bad thing (not sure when it became some a terrible thing).

I see logging trucks with C-channel frames carrying 40 tons of logs on a regular basis. If they don't need a boxed frame, I guess the plated C-Channel on my Tacoma's good enough for me.

So we had to hang a new bedroom door. We had replaced all of them when we moved in, but they're hollow core and the dog ran into one at full tilt and destroyed it (Lab/Pit mix, about 65lbs of pure energy and no brain). I had mortised the hinges for all of the replacement doors by hand (three upstairs, three downstairs) and wasn't enthusiastic about doing it again. I was at Home Cheapo picking up a replacement door and they had this thing on display right beside the door blanks:

    http://www.homedepot.com/p/Ryobi-Door-Hinge-Template-A99HT1/202078674#

    OH. MY. GOD.
Works awesome. I marked the door, clamped this thing on, and went to town with the router. It probably took me all of 5 minutes to do all three hinges, and the cuts were perfect (if I do say so myself :humble:).
Now I'm kicking myself for not doing this sooner, rather than spending the better part of a Saturday mortising door hinges with a mallet and chisel.

I definitely recommend picking one of these up if you have to hang any doors. Especially those of you who just bought their first house!

Ha, that's awesome. Two random tool posts at the same time.
That looks like a nice set. What'd that set you back, if you don't mind my asking?

How about "Off Road Ready Grocery Getter" :notsure:

You keep lifting it taller and taller, you can't still be the trail groomer!

I posted in the thread you made also but if you liked the Michelins, get them again. They are good tires.

Shoulda got one with a brushless motor! Still a nice set

Mortising hinges in by hand sucks, those jigs make it so easy

That set is usually $200 and comes with a free flashlight, next step up is the blue set for $300, and the HD around here is offering a free bare tool with purchase of that set (just bought one for a gift and kept the cordless skill saw for myself) the beast 18v 1/4" makita impact driver i have was $350 for the driver, charger and two batterys. Multi speed brushless motor, the thing is indestructable.

See post above :D a guy i work with is on his second set of the model. The first set lasted less than a year and the impact broke. That is with heavy use though, and dropping it, and using the back as a hammer lol. The blue ones are a little more durable.
