    Oh Yeah!!!
So as some may already know, I am installing DTLT headers this week. Well, knowing that running no Cats at all, will make my truck louder than it already is, not to leave out kind of Obnoxios LOL.. I went and had a Vibrant Resonator installed at my local Exh. shop.

Tel you what, if it were not for the DTLTs being delivered tomorrow , this would be a big mistake. I like hearing the exhaust note when I drive. Just seems nice that way. Well with this resonator, in the cab sounds like stock. If you rev it you hear a slight rumble, but very discrete.

    Here are some pics:

Soo, with it quieting down my JBA Headers w/URD Y Pipe, I am hoping that this set up with DTLT's will match up just perfect. Not to quite, not too loud.

    All about Balance:cool:

I would post sound bit, but hard to replicate a before and after. JHODGE, can valge that my exh. was pretty loud. I would say im about even with his set up; all stock except Magnaflow in back.

Anyone interested in killing the DTLT rasp: the Vibrant Ultra Quite 10", 2.25 in/out should be your medicine. Will post a sound bite of before and after the DTLT's

    :D J/K

But for anyone looking through this thread:

Installed Long tubes today. Awesome setup. Very professional work on these headers. Easy fit, and everything lined up just perfect.

As for the loudness, I got to say, if I did not have the resonator, I would not be able to handle it. It is a very aggressive note, lots more than the JBA's. WOT is nuts, and truck pulls very hard above 3000rpm.

There is howerver a slight rasp still. I guess its from the air pulsating out the straight tubes, into the catless Y-pipe. Only noticeable at certain rpms though. I will give it more time to break in. If still the same, I might have to consider ypipe Cat mod in the future.

    Laters.

    Do you have DTLT's & Y-pipe?

I love the sound, Just getting anoyed by a slight rasp in the pipes. Not out the muffler, but more like air in the pipes, and when I let off the gas, you can hear sort of like a blow off valve. Checked everywhere, no leaks.

Im thinking of putting back stock Y-pipe. Thinking the two dont match up for N/A setup

Did not come in yet. Kind of pissed. Thought it was shipped with headers, but apparently it was sent from APR themselves.

But oh well, So for now I use my scanguage to erase the CEL, LOL... it will return.

Will post before and after in a minute.

BTW, you were correct on Rasp w/Y-pipe. Bit the bullet, and odered the Pipe Bomb. Now to put up my URD Y-pipe F/S:D
