What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

I grew up with electronics and started repairing things at an early age. I took to this stuff to make a living as well, other than 7 years at paper mills, all my work history is electronic repair. So I take an A&P course, airplane mechanic. We had a welding class. I had literal hell trying to use a stick welder, all my life I was trained to NOT make sparks! My gas welding was beautiful but my stick welding just sucked.

 

Finally installed my 60" hi-lift jack!

Looks really good! What paint did you use? I think I'm going to do mine with white Plastidip to match my truck's color.

 

I used the 4xRac mounts, $31 dollars and its really strong and stable

Arctic Start 6202S Remote Start. My San Diego blood can't handle the cold South Dakota is throwing at me.

 

How complicated was the install?

 

I was only there for a few weeks as part of my industrial mechanic training, Id laugh if one of the teachers there failed his own demo lol. Interesting stuff, and I was able to make both stick and MIG look good in all positions, except I never got around to overhead. I didnt do a single strength test though.

 

Pretty easy, took it to the shop and had them do it. Haha. I'm mechanically challenged.

 

What did I do today? I put my drivers side window down while I was warming it up. That made me notice that little chirp often associated with a TOB. Printed out the TSB, and it should be covered. Question is should I have a new clutch put in while it's out. It isn't slipping, but seems like a good opportunity.

Didnt do this today but havent been on here in a while. Newest upgrade about a month ago. Spyder LED Halo projectors w/csjumper2003 amber/white DTRL and parking LED's. OEM kept fogging over on me

 

Painted the Chrome. Turned out good except 48 hours later cured indoors and the paint is still soft. I think I applied it too cold in my garage. Installed it regardless and will wait a couple weeks before even washing it.

The paint is close enough for a grille, especially since I have the bug guard which breaks the lines up. Dupli color ses this black is good for codes 202 and 204. I would say a no go for my 202. It has metallic flake in it, 202 has none. When I get to the mirrors and door handles I'll try the dupli color universal black they also recommend for 202

Now my front matches the back bumper I had changed black, I also debadged this weekend. Looks so much better now

 

Added black headlights, lights to rear bumper, and Toyota Devil horns to tail gate.

 

Cleaned this out from under her after one crazy 60 mile ride up PINS after an unusually high, high tide came in.

 

Just did the spare tire carrier today

 

Defrosting and this happens on the way home.. Happy new years.. At least it's smiling..
