    Pretty much :anonymous: I may install a small heating unit, but that's it. I normally don't use the a/c anyway, plus moving the engine back like I did deletes the heat/ac and the airbox is going where the blower unit was.

    I'm surprised you haven't noticed braking distance increasing with all the armor you've added. I could definitely feel it when I added the BudBuilt so maybe you're not quite to that point yet.

    It is on my list for one of the next mods if I stop looking at Cruisers and DCabs.

    Got a new windshield friday. Looking to redo my tint soon and make it legal. To anyone wanting to get there windshield tinted i don't recommend it unless it's legal in your state. It sucked being paranoid driving around cops all the time.

    This is the reason I won't be going that route.

    Should I get calipers from rock auto or just stop buy the local auto parts store?

    I need to make sure they are the same size as stock so my 15" wheels will still fit without spacers. I guess if I needed spacers that wouldn't be a big deal.

    Any recommendations on good quality calipers. I'll do both at the same time since they are the oem calipers.

    I finished my bi-xenon offroad light upgrade today. It turned out pretty well. I can run them on the street in low beam and run the hi beams when I'm wheeling.

    Eh, see my Build Thread sig link. Too many mods to list.
    <cough>

    Yeah, I used what I had on hand just to get it mounted and done. You're right, I'll go back and change them out to something a little beefier. I only need like a foot of each...hate buying spools just for that. Oh well, it's just money, I'll make more.

    Also need to find a new battery hold down...mine's rusting out. But I'm also thinking...maybe a new battery is in order. No idea how old this one is, and was told by Firestone that it's just about done. Not sure I believe that one though.

    There are 2 different sizes for the tundra brake upgrade. 199mm and 231mm. Either will fit with the factory 16" alloys. You will have to bend the rotor dust shields to fit the larger rotor and drill the end of the banjo bolt to fit. But if you just want the original calipers with shit stopping power (if you have 33s) pay me for shipping and I'll send you my old set. :confused:

    Same problem in NorCal. All of the CB shops in Sacramento area closed down, and Radio Shack doesn't carry CB stuff like they used to. The best place to get CB stuff now, is a major truck stop. They have a whole wall of CB stuff for truckers. I use the one in Lodi at I-80 and Hwy12,

    I recently replaced my calipers, and got re-mans from a Toyota dealer. This way, I get re-man'd OEM calipers, instead of re-man'd junk. Brand new ones, if available, are VERY pricey.

    About 120 each, plus tax, plus core.

    Too bad it didn't help my problem. I thought the calipers were sticking, but the 'grabbing' is happening elsewhere. I'll replace the rear brakes next. Not looking forward to that.

    Or should I bite the bullet and pay $250 per caliper + install + lifetime warranty at brake check?

    It is a full lifetime and replacement doesn't matter what the mileage is.
