    I painted some TRD Tundra wheels that I had and mounted some 265/75/16 Duratracs on them. I took my sweet time prepping the wheels for paint, but I think they came out alright. Still tryna decide if I like the Toyota emblem painted red. Just got tires mounted yesterday so we'll see if they hold up to their expectations!

    Well , a San Diego Santa brought me a new set of CV axles, so goodbye prerunner & hello to 4WD again, installed some new LCA's.. & finally found a set of Chevy springs that bolt on from eyelett to eyelett, all chevy now from the mains on down, they're about 1"-1.5" longer, very happy with ride....:)


    no cam tho' therefore no pics yet....:eek:

    Eh, see my Build Thread sig link. Too many mods to list.
    I went with 8 gauge. Should be sufficient for just the lighting I'm running...no winch or anything. $3 for 2' of black and 2' of red bulk at Lowes. 8 gauge heavy duty ring connectors...$15 for four. Ouch. Oh well, it's done now.

    Also discovered I missed the HID fuse when I was doing cleanup, so I moved that over too.

    Just counted the teeth on the ring and pinion in the third I picked up and turns out they are 4.30's! I could throw them in the truck and have a locked prerunner haha

    Whats it off of ?? Mine looks nothing like that at all, it's not a locker I'm thinking, but great score nonetheless....



    Actually I DO see a difference in CV angle, I'd say it helped a little ..:notsure:

    & yeah, when the sway bar comes off it takes a little getting used to the relaxed cornering, but not too bad really, mine will never go back on

    I really actually want to just so I can see how far I can get with a locked rear haha. I'd rather throw some 5.29's in it first :cool:

    I have no idea what it came out of haha. And you're right, no locker but it is welded.

    Out of curiosity does a welded rear perform differently than something like a detroit or powertrax? I'd love to go arb's but damn they are expensive

    A welded ringgear has zero give factor in a most axle snapping way, you'd have to corner your truck like riding a 3 wheeler...:D

    yes. A lincoln locker is perma-locked until you destroy it or an axle. A detroit will allow differential action under certain conditions.

    a detroit will disengage and open up around a turn if you are off of the power...the welded rear will never do that. it will always turn both wheels at the same speed
